Transpose woes

Problem is that I am using one midi control keyboard, and it is transmitting on one midi channel. There doesn't seem to be any way in Mainstage 3 to re-map the incoming midi messages different channels. So I wanted the three instruments loaded into Kontakt to have different key range and transpose settings... but all respond to the same channel. That's why I was wondering if each instrument in the multi could run its own script with different transpose settings... Or do the scripts act on incoming midi messages before they get to the individual instruments... so different transpose settings in the various scripts would step all over each other?

It would be much easier if NI would just fix what appears to be a known 10-year-old bug! Is it really that difficult?

 

The implications of fixing might be greater than what looks at first...
