I've been trying, but haven't found a way so far.

My Korg padKontrol pads can be assigned to send either midi note values or Control Change values. The pK's midi note values are off by one octave, which is a big PIA (for me).

So, I tried assigning CC#s to pK pads, and having B3 cells learn their Key Range based on that (hit a pK pad twice to establish hi/lo for that B3 cell's range). But there's no response in the Battery cell's Key Range setting.

    Any ideas, or S.O.L.?

See, ew? Maybe I do type a lot, but I do it in way that minimizes how much you have to type in response.

    Thanks for the reply

So why not just change the midi note values on your padKONTROL to what you need for Battery?

I use the padKontrol as well and noticed the same 'problem' (middle C is C4) which I find annoying, mainly because all my other gear uses C3. The best solution I found is to use a Mac OS X application called MidiPipe to transpose the notes by one octave as they enter my computer. It's great because the transposition applies to everything. To all applications it appears as if the padKontrol sends middle C as C3. I believe there are similar apps for Windows.

Incidentally, I'm pretty sure you could also use midipipe to convert midi CC's to midi notes, but that seems like a roundabout way to do things.
