triggering vst's in cubase

    I can get cubase to record the midi notes on a channel with maschine as the input - when i select a vst instrument as the output it plays the notes, what it does not do is trigger the notes live whilst recording, only during playback of cubase

    Can anyone help? I want to be able to have the midi notes produced by maschine, trigger vst synths live

    any help much appreciated

    just a guess.
    You should record enable the the midi or instrument track of the instrument you are controlling with maschine not the maschine track.
    that´s the way it works for me at least
