My search-fu isn't very strong.. so hopefully this isn't already answered somewhere.

I have a pattern that was 8 bars.
I only need 2 bars. How do I trim the front and back bars off and leave the pattern with just the 2 bars I want?

I've gone so far as to delete all the notes and events in the bars I don't want.. and I can even set the start and length of the pattern..
But that leaves me with a pattern that (while working) starts on bar 5 so it has a bunch of blank bars in front..

Is there an easy way to cut/trim bars from a pattern?

    Using:
    Maschine Mikro Mk3
    Maschine 2.14.7
    Windows 10

    It was added relatively recently.

    Thanks for the reply.

I was able to get the start position and end position of the pattern just fine, but that leaves a bunch of stuff to the left of the start position. That's what I want to trim. Any way to do that?

Not sure I understand. The stuff in front of the start position shouldn't play.

Correct... it doesn't play. but there are multiple empty bars now. That just looks bad... but there is also a functional issue.
When i switch to a different scene or pattern and come back.. the scale of that pattern is back to full width..... and I have to then zoom out to see the parts of the pattern that are actually selected or have stuff in them.

I dunno... it just seems weird that they would add the ability to set the start and end bars of a pattern, but not a way to actually just cut out parts/bars of a pattern.

A gigantic amount of things that are normal in other software arent really present in Maschine, that's how it is. There is no MIDI consolidation/trim, as well as no split, merge, stretch, double-time, event mute, etc, etc...

    Thanks for the confirmation.

I'll try to shift my mindset to adopt the Maschine way of thinking. :)

    Cheers

Have you tried to select all notes with the mouse, and then cick->drag the notes to the start of the bar?

You will have to reset your pattern start and end afterwards.

Yes, and while I can do that for the notes, it didn't seem to bring along the events (I have some pitch shift events on those notes).

So maybe that is a different question about what I'm doing wrong there or how I make sure those move with the notes.
