Hi every ones, well i have a real dealema here, im on a windows machine running Windows 7 RTM and using TSP 1.2 Beta (the problem is the same on 1.0.1) everythings runs fine till today, but when made a scan on Spyware Doctor (only have made a full system scan today) he detected a trojan named Trojan.Packed.Themida, the question is, its this a false alarm of the Anti-virus in question? I have take a look on the web and found some people saying that is a false alarm, other saying that its a system security and some Anti-virus detect it others not as normal, so i have made a more intensive search on the web and found this link (seems that they are the builders of this...) http://www.oreans.com/themida.php
And yes it seams to be a system security (but how this thing is "involved" whit NI TSP) but they mensioned to that some hackers can be ussing it to real hijacking and it this what im afraid off.
I have cleaned it, made a full system scan and no virus found, now i want to install and activate TSP and im afraid off, i know that is thread "have nothing" to do whit NI Services but a help specialy from the Forum Moderators trying to orrient me will be great if i can activate TSP whit no prob, or what should i do.

    Thanks in advance!

It's a false alarm. Themida is a reputable program offering security against reverse engineering and piracy. It's also used for its license capabilities (hardware locking) with Traktor. Always make sure you're using official Traktor software from NI downloads or official NI CDs.

Thanks for the help. Ok, but i dont think that its kind a normal act a anti-virus detect a trojan on a Official product .exe. About the Updates i allways download them form NI Service Center so thers no prob about that, only Beta release as from a link as normal. Now im asking myself how that Themida stuff shows on the scan cause ive not have installed Themida stuff, im have to despend of a good anti-virus/anti-spyware because of it, even if i give permision on Spyware Doctor to use and ignore the treath everytime that i open TSP is shows a small windows remind me about the treath, its strange, i can change anti-virus, TSP not of course,
im gonna wait to see what the Forum Moderaters says about this mess.

As ChagG states, it is a false positive with copy-protection code.

what chad and lethal said is all true.

just ignore and make an exception in your antivirus program.

Yes, it's a false-positive because your security program can't unpack the Themida protection to determine if it's genuinely a harmful program. Traktor falls subject to heuristic detection because of blanket executable finger printing.
