    hi.

i just got a new computer and reinstalled komplete on it. i did komplete3 install (so i could get intakt and kompakt and fm7 as i love those), then without doing any activation on komplete3, i installed komplete4. after installing komplete4, i activated all my NI stuff at once.

no problem yet. also to be sure i upgraded to the latest and greatest NI service center.

now i go and download the most recent patches/upgrades of all the stuff i qualify for, and install all those patches.

so i go to activate again because the product says i need to when i start them all in stand alone mode (which i did for every plugin). i clicked 'run as demo' then configured my audio/midi and did a quick test on each to see they were working ok.

i then launched service center and the ones that were griping about activation showed up there.

so i click activate/next. the weird thing is it comes back saying Product activation successful, yet Guitar Rig, Kontakt, and Reaktor say "not activated!" in red.

i thought perhaps it was a bug and checked again opening in stand alone, but alas they are not activated as service center says.

everything else activated ok though. so i thought perhaps it is a license per computer issue. i logged onto the website here and managed my licenses. deactivated all of the ones setup on my old computer, and tried again.

    no success.

guitar rig2, kontakt2, and reaktor 5 (all latest versions from updates via service center download) are still not activated.

    bummer! :(

i've logged a formal request to the support form entry but did not yet receive a reply. i'm guessing it's because of the weekend.

can someone from NI please contact me and assist me? i spoke with a nice gent on KVR by the name of ew who is the resident NI guru and he said to post here.

    thanks in advance.

    Hi,

I saw that you received a reply from registration support one day after you wrote this email. Please let me know if the problem persists.

    The problem still persists.

I got 5 separate emails from NI:

    1 for Kontakt2 Activation Key
1 for Guitar Rig2 Activation Key
    1 for Reaktor5 Activation Key
1 informing me my new password
1 from Nathaniel Reti with an ActivationReturnRequest.naf file

Here is what I did in this order:

I imported the ActivationRequestReturnFile.naf into the Service Center (canceling internet to do it).

It said it was successful, but all the boxes were still unchecked. I tried opening GuitarRig2 standalone and still got the prompt that it needs activation, demo, or purchase.

I ran service center again and manually entered all the activation keys and then clicked the label-less button underneath to apply it (I guess? - there should be a label on that button).

There was a discrepancy though when I entered the keys the System ID changed dramatically to something totally not what the other emails I received said they were for. I verified before this that the serials were accurate.

So it's still broken/unactivated even after all of that.

    What next?

    uhh..

It's been a day. I have not received any replies from NI.

My reaktor5, guitar rig2, and kontakt2 are still not activated.

    Please assist me.

This activation problem was solved. I received an offline activation NAF file that fixed all my problems.

Thank you very much NI. I tried to change the topic of this thread to add a *SOLVED* to the end, so that others can see the support is good but was not able to.

Took a few days but that is not the fault of NI, it is boundaries and different timezones at work there.

Anyway, thanks again. You have restored my faith in your products and I will vouch for good support in future communications with fellow musicians.
