Trouble activating the Hercules DJ MK2 MAC in Traktor 3 LE

Just recently purchased the Hercules DJ Console MK2 MAC edition. I am running a macbook core duo with 1GB ram. Was able to install Traktor 3 LE without any issues and also installed the NI service center regsitered and was able to fire up traktor.

According to the Hercules website the steps for using the console with traktor are as such:

I was able to follow all the steps in the pdf document except for be able to activate the console in traktor. Meaning click the box so that an X appears.

I installed Traktor 3.2 and the console was able to be activated without any issues. Meaning click on the box and get the X.

Would appreciate any suggestion on this issue.

On a side note how would I be able to get the vinyl scratch sound on the jog dials. For now in Traktor 3 LE I am able to only forward back and forth through a song and not actually get the scratch sound on a track.

Interesting marketing strategy by Traktor

So it seems to be an issue ongoing only with Traktor 3 LE. Since when i installed the demo version of Traktor 3.2 it worked fine. Why sell software bundled with a product if it wont work with it. I was also able to run all midi diagnostics and the mac is recognizing the midi controller without any issues.

coming to my other question. Are we able to set the scratch sound on a track rather than having the jog dial merely forward and rewind the track.
