I recently recorded myself playing 6 dynamic layers on the trumpet pp, p, mp, mf, f and ff my intention is to set them up so when playing they are not velocity sensitive but can be controlled using the modulation cc. Like many commercial libraries for the trumpet they are not velocity sensitive but the mod wheel increase and decreases the volume of each dynamic layer to then blend it into the next dynamic layer, for example you get the attack of the note then a very quiet clear tone which then you can blend into a very loud cuivre using the mod wheel, how do I achieve this effect?

Thanks for your help in advace

Put each velocity layer in their own group, then use CC modulator modulating group volume on all of them. Then open modulation shaper for each CC modulator in each group individually and set up crossfades there.

This where I have got up to, but when I play a note it sounds but as I move up the mod wheel to the next dynamic layer it stays on the same dynamic layer and doesn't cross fade, what should I do next?

That's because you made the curve that way. You need a different curve for each velocity layer so that they all fade one into another.

He looks for the velocity effect on a trumpet sample. So your link don't helps?
