Is there a limit to the size of sample file you can use with granular synthesis in Absynth 2?

It works fine when you load in the sample, but when recalling the preset later, the file seems truncated unless you re-load it manually.

    Anyone else found this problem?

    Hi Jezar,

No, there is no limit to the sample length (other than your hardware). I have not heard any reports of this problem so far. Does it do this with different soundfiles, or just one in particular? Maybe it's a problem in the header of the soundfile.

If you want, you can send me the patch and sample, I'd be curious to see what exactly is going on.

    Cheers,
    Brian

    Hi,

I have the same problem. In my case it depends on Mono/Stereo setting. If I choose Mono I can hear a full length sample and just half of it, in Stereo.

    Cheers.

    What the bug is...

    Hi Brian,

Vit is right. Any stereo sample is half length when the preset is reloaded. Toggling the oscillator to Mono and then back to Stereo solves the problem, so this ought to be a trivial bug to fix in Absynth 2.

    Regards,
    Jezar.

This works normal for me, samples are reloaded completely, mono and stereo, in sample- and in granular-mode. Are you using PC or Mac, because I´m using a PC and it´s alright here. Have you checked the files in your installation-folder, if the Absynth-files are updated correctly to Version 2.04?

    Fixed

I did a specific test for this before/after upgrading last night (early this morning!) and I can confirm that this now appears fixed in Absynth V2.04
