I assumed this was basic stuff in Garageband, but I might be over estimating it.

All I'm trying to do is record an acoustic guitar and vocals simultaneously and have them isolated as two separate tracks.

    On my Komplete Audio 6:

    INPUT 1 = Guitar

    INPUT 2 = Vocals

Can I play these at the same time and have Garageband lay down two separate audio tracks? I only seem to be able to record a single track containing both guitar and vocals, which means I can't apply separate filters to them.

    Any help appreciated. Thanks.

Okay, going to reply to myself here in case anyone else looks for this answer.

It was very simple, in Garageband 10 you have to do the following:

Goto 'Track' > 'Track Header' > 'Show Record Enable Button'

    (Step 10 in this guide: http://www.peachpit.com/articles/article.aspx?p=2238080&seqNum=16 )

Once the RECORD BUTTON is on, I could then enable this on both tracks, thus recording guitar and vocals (on separate tracks) simultaneously. There was a little bit of bleed, but it wasn't bad.

I realise this is very basic stuff, but I was surprised something this basic was buried in the menus. It seems like a button that should always be present in my opinion.
