Trying to standardize my key tags on Mac

Over the years I've used various key taggers, 2 diff. versions of Mixed In Key, the excellent KeyFinder and now been semi-unwillingly pinged by Traktor's. One reason I liked MIK and KeyFinder are that they allow you to write to the file name-this is important to me as I sometimes export files for use on iPad, other apps that don't read the key tag.
Before I get on and do 5000+ tracks I need to achieve 3 things

1. remove all current key tags - easy enough in Traktor, select all and edit
2. remove key info from the end of the title tag - could be tricky, on Mac, any ideas? ie Jack Me-6A should be just Jack Me
3. remove key info from end of file name - easy enough with ABetterFinderRename

So it's #2 that's the tricky part.

Also, I presume there is no way to get Traktor to append key to the actual file name is there?

take a look at doug's applescripts for itunes, they may help you big time in this task.

these are some of the most used and most precious i'd highlight:

- Append to Selected tag
- Remove n Characters from Front or Back
- Search-Replace Tag Text
- This Tag That Tag
- Copy Tag Info Tracks to Tracks
- Artist - Name Corrector

 

Thanks, yes Doug's Scripts were great....past tense...I'm on Mavericks now and my favourite-Not In Any Playlist To Playlist doesn't work and the paid app he has can't be pointed at an iPhone library...Doug, you are dead to me, well your app is anyway. Also a lot of files are flac so no iTunes.
In the end I used Yate to de-tag the files, ABetterFinder Rename to retag the names and KeyFinder for keys.
