Whatever happened to this library. I went to the site when this was announced and it had a place to sign up for a newsletter. My friend says it went on sale last month, but it must have been a private sale because I have not heard anything. Some of the demos sound great, so I'm surprised there hasn't been any talk about this library.

This must be a truly versatile library, because in one of the users' testamony, it states that he is apparently having sex with this library. Now I'm not sure what he means by "patches".

Will there be any updates or ad ons (or possibly strapons) for this library?

Hrmm, the newsletter sign up was before release. The site has been fully functional since release. http://www.tsaikodrums.com/

As indy developers without worldwide or national distribution it is sometimes hard to get the word out, but it is spreading. Wuzik Mag just did a gear review and interview with the main producer (Sean Beeson) in their latest issue.

LoL, who testimonial are you referring to?

    One can only speculate!

Should be a small xpansion release soon (free to existing customers).

    Thanks for looking.

Thought I did, no big deal.

    Congrats, well deserved.

KC, misspelled play, or he's getting more than advertised from Tsaiko;-)

    Cool!

    Satch,

I am the producer behind Tsaiko, and just wanted to let you know that it has been out since the end of August and is, in a way, a "privately" sampled library.

It was originally sampled for private use, but then I realized the appeal that such a set of samples could have, so over a course of months, Tsaiko was programmed.

As for the "patches", I simply refer to them as that because there are instruments and multis, both in an economical and resource intensive variations, so to avoid confusion, I just called the total amount of these "sounds", patches. With the current update, I believe we are near 100, and I am already working on the next library update.

And the quotes? :) I felt it was important to have such testimonies on a new product, especially one from a new producer that is essentially attempting to mass market a product to forums full of composers that do not know anything about it. You would be amazed at the number of e-mails I get where a composer is hesitant to purchase Tsaiko because they haven't heard of me and feel that the whole thing is a scandal

I have actually only had two people signup for that newsletter that haven't bought Tsaiko. When you create a profile at the store, you have the option of signing up for the newsletter, and the distribution of the newsletter is done through the store code.

Even then, I haven't had any groundbreaking announcements just yet, although I think there could be one coming in the next month or so.

If you have any more questions, feel free to e-mail me or post here or whatever is easiest :)

Oh yeah, and the reason you haven't heard anything lately is simply that the costs of advertising is just too expensive. Especially when you are selling a library at $55 a pop.

So once the Tsaiko forum threads hit the bottom, in essence, Tsaiko does fall off the map :p However, Tsaiko is constantly being worked on, I have the next update already in the works, and don't plan on abandoning it anytime soon :)

    Hey Sean,

I was being light hearted in regards to my Q's about the testimonies and patches, due to the typo in KC's quote, but serious in regards to the quality of the demos. It's great to know how serious and committed you are to the product though. I know who you are actually, since you gave me a demo of E/W choirs at NAMM a few years ago. An articulate man are you.

    Keep up the good work.

Ahh... I didn't catch the whole thing about Kaveh's quote. Thanks for the heads up!
Haha. I fixed that once, but had to upload an older version because of a few bad programming things and forgot to fix it. I get it now :)

Yeah, Tsaiko isn't THAT good :p although at its current price, you DO get a great bang for your buck haha

I have just purchased the library from your site, Sean, but the download link is not working (using Mac OSX), either from 'My Account' or from the purchase page link. I just get a heap of HTML code. And have used up 2 of my possible 3 download chances as a result. Please fix!

I just wanted to bump this because I've been considering this library and will likely buy in the next couple of days.

It sucks that the word is so hard to get out, but hopefully I can tell others about it soon!

I just wanted to let you all know that I just bought this thing last night. I don't have a keyboard with me(out of town right now), but the sounds are AMAZING.

A lot of people told me ahead of time that these drums are HUGE. But that doesn't tell the whole story. The drums are indeed quite large sounding. And I do mean LARGE.

However, they can also be tame as well. I can see these being used for some general percussion as well. Not every patch has the huge reverb-ish sound on it, but some are rather intimate.

I'm still working through the presets, and must say that there is a vast amount of sounds included using the presets. But it's hard to know just by their names exactly what the sound will be. But they are creatively named, and it's really no big deal.

When I get home I'll write up a proper review on my blog and post it. Until then, I love what I've heard so far. Very cool indeed!

I'd like for Tsaiko to include K3 settings for getting the sounds used in the demos. I bought this library and though the price is right, I haven't been able to get anything that I can use. Many of the sounds seem redundant and I wish there were more presets with FX like on the demos. Time is a factor, some of us don't have endless time to play around tweaking to get the advertised sounds. At least that's my experience with the library.

Every demo on the website uses the presets, some of which may just have slightly different post-processing. I am sorry you feel there is nothing in the library you can use, because it really is quite a nice set of sounds :)

The other reason the library is not K3 is simply so K2 users can use it :)
