I have K2 also, would it make a difference? Anyway, I was trying to find the demo that I really liked the sound on but it's not on this batch posted so I can't be more specific. Everything I've tried them on I end up replacing them with Orch percussion, I wish I could find that one sound though.
Tried tweaking with low/hi pass filters and couldn't find it. Also, there's only 3 notes on each instrument (that I can remember) so you would have to build instruments to conserve midi channels. That takes too long and there should be more options in the instrument like different tunings, different articulations. IMO

Nah, wouldn't be any different if you used K2 vs. K3. So you would recommend more patches? Or just multiple modifications of the same ones?

    Cheers,
    Sean

To me it would make sense if you only had a few intruments. On each instrument have a variety of different articulations. Would make it much more efficient to have everything on 3 or 4 patches and play through them and pick what you need, rather than having to load 1 patch at a time.

Funny you mention that. Originally I had a few very large, LARGE master patches, (before the actual work for the library began that is) but they took up so much ram I didn't think users would be interested in that :)

    However, I will reconsider/reevaluate this :)

Sean, I noticed at the Tsaiko site, it teases about something "more Tsaiko". Care to expand on that? Another free expansion? Totally different library?

Whatever it is, it makes me excited!

I am another person happy with the Tsaiko sounds, but who would agree with a layout such as described here.

I don't know. There are a LOT of samples in some of the patches, and putting multiple variations in a single patch would be overkill for some systems. Why not just add instruments to the multi and create your own?

I can't say just yet what is on the horizon :) Soon though. Perhaps a month and a half or so?

Plan on a re-release. Updates and tweaks are in process. Maybe Sean will chime in?

Yes! Tsaiko has been taken down as I am doing a serious re-vamp of the product, and will be including some good treats :) I just was originally hoping to take the site down and not cause confusion, but instead, I have caused mass-confusion :) hehe

    Thanks for your patience!

how can we be notified when it is in fact ready (any eta). Also, will it come with pre-recorded loops along with the samples?

If you are looking for prerecorded loops, I would recommend checking out Action Drums by Nine-Volt Audio which contains multiple formats and is also usable by Stylus RMX (It was made using Tsaiko). However, there will be some nice things in this new package as well.

cool. wondering if these loops are accompanied by the samples that make up the loop - kind of like Kontakt does with its drum loop samples (saves you the trouble of trying to beat slice). If not, are you aware of any others that do?

again, how can we find out when your library is avail. email?

Good question about the samples being accompanied with the loop.

If you would like me to e-mail you when the new library comes out I can!

    :)

    Thanks
    Sean
