tsi problem with TSP in comp. with hercules control steel...

hi,

i´ve a big problem..

my equiptment: fujitsu siemens amilo li3760 win7(32bit)
hercules dj control steel
audio 2 dj
traktor scratch pro 1.2...

now the prob: i recently dwnld the tsi file from this site and it is close to work with my steel, but there are some things which does not work right..

for example everytime i will aktivate my effekt units, the track jumps forw. or backw...(scratch pressed or not), the same when i want to
jump vorw. or backw. the units go on or off..very unlikely i can tell u..

the jogwheel doesnt work right(no scratching available)

it also would be fine if i could control the effekts with the treble,middle & bass eq´s in the scratch modus...


i dwnld the midi mapper, but cant fix th probl..(perhaps because i m a noob with midi mapping)

also loaded some other .tsi but a good one? noo..

i´m very frustated

You can do all that you want but should make your own tsi since everyone has different needs. I dont use Steel anymore and I doubt my particular setup would suit you.
Print out the jpg with all midi CCs etc take another piece of paper and start planning what you want, like etc . Start blank new tsi and apply one by one what you want. It will be faster and better than taking factory, someone else preset and editing.
You will be able to slowly add more functions, apply modifiers etc as you gain more experience.

 

Which TSI file did you download exactly ?

i think the problems are because of the software? scratch pro and pro are not the same right?

and midi mapping by myself? i started but i quit it soon..

nevertheless i must work on it, when no one here have a good tsi...

welll,there's no good standard TSI. but you can use the one provided by hercules and tweak it to your needs, it's still less work than doing everything from scratch.

For the scratch jog thing, I remember that the standard tsi was using the cue button (or stop, can't remember) as a modifier to activate "scratch on" so to scratch easily, you just had to press the stop button on the deck you ant and start playing with the jog ..

Hi! I'm from Monterrey NL Mexico. I have the numark mixdeck, its nice but now the problem is that I dont know how to record my set. I already match the channel A and B, but traktor pro doesn't recognize the output recording. Really I dont know how to connect this controller to my laptop. Let me explain you the output routing I have:
audio device: mixdeck ASIO driver
mixmode: external
output channel A: 1 & 2
output channel B: 3 & 4

in recording setup i'm very frustrated.. any suggestion?
