My friend have an issue in Windows.

    His gear :

Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pro T2250, Intel Centrino Duo 1.73 Ghz l, 1.5 Gb RAM, Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3

He bought recently TSP, installed the 1.2.2 version , and the story according his sentences " TSP stops while i was DJing in the middle of the gig, not crashed, not quitted, simply stops and no sound after it, only you could do , was the restart.

I know it is not much info, but has anybody any idea for him?

    Thanks a lot

    1) Check latency and sample rate settings
    2) He needs more RAM. At least 2GB, 4GB would be ideal
    3) That processor, while plenty beefy, could likely stand to be faster
    4) Is antivirus running? Shouldn't be
    5) Disable ACPI
    6) Set Windows to give priority to background processes as opposed to running programs
    7) Hang tight for version 1.2.3, coming soon

I just had this same problem at a gig 2 nights ago. Never had a show-stopping problem before, and I use it regularly 5 nights a week.

2 hours into the gig, the audio on deck B cut in and out several times in quick succession, before completely cutting out. Deck A followed the same behavior several seconds later. Decks were still playing, just no sound.

Running an optimized and dedicated laptop (Asus N51 laptop, Vista 32bit SP1, 4 gigs of Ram/2.4 Ghz) with TSP 1.2.2, 3 decks, external mixer mode, internal playback, timcecode CD calibrated, no effects.

Well the computer used is a bit old too.. and Ram is a bit limited.. so it might be a bit rough to run TSP with full features on it.

What's also important is to have the latest verisons of all drivers (Graphic card, Chipset etc), and also the latest bios.. I'm quite sure that a dpc latency check would show numerous spikes

    Dear Dear Dear....

Why does it seem like everyone has an issue with this software?

    I have:
    Vaio 2.5 Ghz Duo Core
    4 Gig ram
    320 Gig Hdd
    Audio 8 Dj
    Pioneer cdj1000mk3
    Pioneer djm 800.

Just did a clean install of Windows 7.

Using 4ms latency, on 1.5ms its cracking and freezing like every 10 min.
Even on 4ms its freezing every now and then.

What kind of rubbish is this? You pay a shitload for all the stuff which is really crap.

Just try this, play with CDs for 30 min and then with TSP and listen to the diffrence in sound and see the diffrence in problems that would occur as well.

Just upgraded to 1.2.2 and lets see. at the moment im strictly playing CDs at my gigs but would actually love the freedom of using TSP.

    Very disappointing.

You need to try upping your latency.
4ms is still very low for any computer never mind one that has an Unsupported OS on it. Remember Win 7 is still not officially supported.

1.5ms is totally unrealistic. NI do not guarantee anything lower than 10ms any way and 10ms is fine .

What Sample Rate have you set ?

Also worth baring in mind that many users dont have any latency issues and that calling the software "rubbish" and "crap" isnt very constructive.

    Just a thought.

Ok installed 1.2.2. Have to admit that its working better.

Ok ill take the latency up and see where it takes me.

Sample rate is 44100. What do you recommend then Karlos?

Ok, true about maybe calling it rubbish. I guess you never had an issue with this software so therefore you might not understand the frustration of buying it and then having to sit and edit and read and try to do everything possible to get it working.

Of course im eager as hell to use it at a gig but too worried about issues that would arise. Please lets be real here. NATIVE INSTRUMENTS sells a software that is supposed to be a professional software, my specs meets the requierments. I have paid for it, and well....I do expect it to work.

    Anyway....

Now, there are just 2 things that im bothered about and its the quality of the sound, which anyone who has ears will hear is not as crisp as it should.

AND! Cue points, which seem to never be correct, never mind how many times you set them.

Karlos, if you could help me with this, well then i promise you to hail the software and really take back my not so well written comment.:S
