Hey, I am about to buy TSP 2 having never used a DVS before but its about time. I have heard about a few problems with it, but can someone confirm that the following is BS?

When switching DJs from timecode to Vinyl/CD, separate channels being used on the mixer, the only way to do so is to unplug leads on Audio 10 & put the leads back into the mixer, so the decks/CDJ's can be used for the person not using TSP?

Also if there are any other issues that anyone could make me aware of that would be great & I'll have a look through older threads on the forum too.

Seems to be that TSP 1 is currently more reliable.....?

    Thanks

    Hey Davey Boy,

Ive had TSP2 for all of a week now and as such am not the voice of experience, however i know the following:

When switching DJ's if you are leaving the sound card in place (because it belongs to the club/its a mate using your setup and spinning some tunes) then you simply unplug the laptop and the sound card defaults to sending audio directly through.

If you want to have the SC output going into a seperate channel to the mixer then you'll need a pair of these:
    http://www.incarexpress.co.uk/view_product.php?partno=PC11M
in the back of each of your CDJs/decks, and then you'll need to route one output to the mixer and the other to the SC

As far as other issues go, ive probably used TSP2 for a total of 16 hours now, and I've only had one serious problem, and that was because I hadnt disabled my internet/antivirus - along with shutting off bluetooth drivers, Steam and pretty much anything that wasnt necessary - resulting in some serious lag. You can see the setup that I'm running in my signiature, I've had no conflict issues with Nvidia drivers and TSP2, the program has yet to crash, it all worked perfectly out of the box.

The only issue that's had me panicking was 6 hours into a 7 hour gig when one of the timecodes completely stopped responding. My workaround was to load a CD into the other CDJ at the club, get that playing and use the time to restart traktor.

Hope that clears things up, having never used TSP1 i cant really comment on your final question.
