TSP and Changing OS

Hello, i want to change my OS, im using a windows machine whit XP SP2 on it and everything works fine, but i need to format my machine, im thinking to go for Windows 7 but i dont wanna loose my Playlists and the Historic too, if possible what do i need to do for dont loose them and pass them to Windows 7, what files or folders do i need to copy ?
Other question is, i only have made the instalation and activation of TS and TSP on 1 machine 1 OS that was XP and i know that i can only have both of the NI Products on 2 OS or machines but im a litle confused, imagine that i gonna install on Windows 7 and later i want to install on a Mac machine, its is possible once i allready made a activation on 2 OS XP and 7 even whit the desactivation of the 2 OS mensioned?

Back-up EVERYTHING in the Traktor folder (.tsi, .nml, history, playlists) and all of your music. Keep the folder structure as well. You may find that some of the devices on your laptop won't work with Windows 7. I changed OS from both Vista and XP on different laptops. The Vista to 7 worked flawlessly, except McAfee doesn't work (there's a beta version out that is 7 compatible) and the graphics card control panel doesn't work.
Most things don't work on the older XP laptop: DVD drive, battery charge monitor, etc. You should be able to upgrade without losing any songs or settings, but always have a complete back-up and a system restore disk if you need to go back to XP.
You can have Traktor on any 2 laptops at one time. You can change as many times as you want, I believe. I have had it on 4 different computers total.

 

Thanks a lot Rasmuffin, i allready found the History folder and the .TSI file that is on the same folder as the History is, is this one that i have to copy ? You said that i need some other file .nml, this i have make a search on NI folder first then i have made a on the cpu whit no results, can you or maybe some one can help me on this one? Another thing that i like to know its why those files are important to the OS changing.
About the changing OS im gonna try to go for Windows 7 like i have mensioned in the first reply, like everybody knows he havent been released wyet so i im gonna install the Windows 7 RC, and them if everything runs fine i gonna buy the Windows 7 Final version, once that i have registred on to OS, XP and 7 RC, can i instal TSP whit out problems since i can only have it on 2 OS?
For this last question an answer from NI moderatores will be nice too, to clare the things out.

You can have a limit of 2 installs of TSP at any one time . Doesnt matter about the OS . You can have 1 on OSX and 1 on Vista or 1 on XP and 1 on WIN7, any combination as long as it isnt more than on 2 machines.

Thanks a lot Karlos, now its everything clear about the TSP activation. Can you give me an help about the other question that i have made? I need to change OS as fast i as i can and i dont wanna miss at least the History folder, but Rasmuffin have mencioned some other files, are they important for the OS changing? and at the same time im curious about them and their utility.

the collection.nml file mirrors some of the Traktor chunk in the mp3 and for waves I believe it is the only thing with the track data (beatgrid, cues) for Traktor. I think it also has the collection tree info.
