TSP - Playlists - Colour Coded Tracks?

Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone knows a way to colour code particular tracks within playlists on Tracktor Scratch Pro? I'd find it really handy to have certain tracks really sticking out when I go through my playlists. Don't really find the rating system that useful.

I did a search on the forum but didn't come up with anything...

As to my knowledge this is not possible but it sounds like a cool thing to add so you should create a feature request.
Programming-wise this would just mean another thing saved in the ID3-tag.
GUI-wise this might not go along well with NI's styleguide.

Maybe I'll put some time into making a draft for it.

One thing you could do is insert text in a field like comments, where most other tracks don't have content or you could write all tags for that track upper-case.

 

i use the comment fields a lot for giving me more info and i'm thinking about making custom cover arts for certain tracks, like a plain RED cover for superduper floorfiller club banger or something like this.

While custom cover art is good, I like to keep mine to remind me what the track is. I've just requested a very similar thing here:

Hm, pretty cool idea indeed! When you could add colors to some tracks you could make a difference between the sort of track 'build up', 'peak time', 'climax', etc.

Will probably go with comments field, and maybe some custom colours in the artwork field for now.

Cover art can help visually but it can't be sorted by traktor unless the colors correspond to another field that can be alphabetically sorted like - a=red, b=orange, c=yellow, d=green etc...
