    hi!

already posted this in the german forum recently with no result yet...
    PLEASE HELP!

    i have recognized the following:
when you listen a very quite passage you can proove it best.
e.g. michael jackson (RIP) - liberian girl
try to loop the very quite intro and turn to volume very loud in your headphone. now when changing modes from internal to relativ playback mode there is always a disturbing click sound. no matter what kind of latency is set. and also no matter what kind of deck cache or other setting.

in dpc latency checker i a have always values below 250ms.

i have tried the above on 4 completely different windows systems already with the same result. chanching playback from internal to relativ mode result in an annoying click sound. when you hear it once you will hear it every time you are changing between the deck modes.
my timecode cd is played from my denon 3700.
but i have also tried playback from the timecode signal from my ipod with same result.
you can hear the click sound not only on your headphone but also in the master out.

can any one test this please or does any one have a solution for this?

for me the click sound seems not to come from any latency issue, as my machine is perfectly setted. to me it sounds more than a power supply click sound. but even with laptop just running over battery, connected audio8 + headphone + timecode through ipod and no other controller or power supply connrected i can also hear the clicks when changing from internal to relativ playback and vice versa.

    cheers

now that i am very sad, that i have no answers yet, i will show you an audio example of what i mean.
just listen and hear the click sound or pop or whatever you want to call it.

i have changed very often between internal and relativ mode just to give you an inpression of what i mean.

    please help....
i am looking forward for your support guys...

i have also experienced this since i starting using traktor scratch pro a couple months ago. i can't believe that no one else has responded with this same problem. i've got 3 gigs of ram and a dual core cpu, and even with high latency settings i still get clicks every time.
i have forced myself to get used to playing with one turntable as many venues i play have 1 deck that is so beat up it can't be recognized by DVS's. if there's a click when switching from external to internal, i can't use it live.
so did tech support say this would be fixed in 1.1.2?

the support, and also in the latest german on the record session the problem was confirmed and is obviously acknowledged.

i could also not believe that i am the first user experiencing this problem.
you can also reproduce it with traktor3.

at least ni is aware of the problem now.
if they manage to fix it in 1.2 is not for sure, but i deeply hope so.
btw. this issue definetely has nothing to do with your systems power it is definetely a software issue.

besides i got a tip for you.
for using just one unit at a time try this....
i programmed a button of my vci to switch between deck a/b and also left/right.
so if i press this button deck b is controlled instead of deck a and at the same time also the sides of both decks are changed, in this way i can use one unit in a really perfect way. always having my thumb in the inner side.
    try it.

    cheers
