Launch Kontakt 4 (standalone). Load Orchestral -> 6 - Keyboard Instruments -> Concert Grand.nki. Click "Options" (below the instrument window) and select Tuning -> Pure.

This selection does not appear to have any effect. Indeed, if I select Tuning -> Quartertone, it is flagrantly obvious that it has no effect.

Now repeat the experiment with Harpsichord.nki instead of Concert Grand.nki. The Tuning parameter works just as I would expect.

So I guess there is somewhere where you can specify "Ignore the Tuning parameter." I couldn't find it in the manual, however. Can someone enlighten me?

    Hello Andrew,

this is a known bug and will be fixed in the next content update.

For now, you can work around by inserting the factory "Microtuning" script in slot 4 or 5. The tunings of the Options page still won't work, but you can use this script to alter the tuning.

    Sorry about that,

I just downloaded the update, and it does indeed fix the problem.

    Thanks!

(The sound of an acoustic piano in pure intonation is both fascinating and unsettling...)
