I loaded Giga Piano into Kontakt v.1.2 and release of the keys is causing the notes to retrigger. Using group edit, how do I remove
the retriggering function from these groups??
Any info on this is appreciated....

I posted on this problem a few days ago, but just found a fix for it yesterday. The solution seems to be to click the "Rls Trigger" button on and then off again (the "Rls Trigger" button is located on the Source module).

I've been trying to get GigaPiano to work with the 1.2 update since it came out last Friday. Although I've solved the retrigger problem, the instrument is still not playing properly. I have yet to find a polyphony setting that makes the piano playable - the voice-stealing algorithm is dropping voices like crazy. Furthermore, the hit on my CPU is enormous (routinely over 90% on the Cubase performance meter). By contrast, I can play GigaPiano in HALion without any noticeable voice-stealing and with very low CPU usage. In addition, the timbre of GigaPiano in Kontakt is completely off. It sounds like one of those tinny old-timey pianos (granted, GigaPiano is not the best sounding sampled piano, but it sounds a hell of a lot better than this when used in GigaStudio or HALion).

Something is definitely wrong with Kontakt's ability to import certain Gig instruments, and NI is completely silent on the problem.
