Can't; only goes into standby (shift+midi), you'll have to unplug it.

As a sick, I mean really sick aside...... If you have it plugged into an MPC Ren and therefore using the MPC as an audio interface, when you turn the MPC Ren off, Maschine goes off........And I might add that for now an audio interface for Maschine is the best use of the Akai MPC Ren.........

Get one of those. i have that one. It has a power supply too so you dont run out of juice if you have multiple power sucking items. Plus the switches are lit so you can see in the dark which are on.

Unplugging Maschine will just wear out the cable or jack....and is imo not convenient.

Holy crap, that's great. I just bought one!

My Maschine actually goes to sleep automatically when I put my DAW system to sleep, but for some reason my MPK49 remains lit even when I fully power down my PC, and it doesn't have a power switch. It's my only complaint about that controller (other than the default pads).

    Thanks for the link!

    low cost solution

..... is to buy an USB extension cable (male/female) and plug maschine's USB cord into that.
This way you don't unplug directly from Maschine and PC.
    I'd get good/high quality cables...

I was really disapointed the MKII never even implements a power switch.

Thats exactlly what i do ..i read horror storys anout weak usb connectors on maschine so its safer to unplug from the pc than maschine.

I wish they would have put a switch on it like my novation remote sl it has a switch on the back to turn on and off.

I would much rather they simply program the firmware to turn off the displays when Maschine is in standby. I would bet money that the stupid "feature" of Maschine having its displays on when in standby is marketing bull!@$#.

Mine just arrived and it is so great. Got my Maschine and MPK49 both plugged into it and switched off!
