You cannot do that in NHL mode, but you can do in MIDI mode

    - add a generic midi device
    - set the in port to the X1
    - switch the X1 to MIDI mode by pressing SHIFT+MIDI

    then:
    - "Add In" and then select the commands you want to add
    - press learn in controller manager
    - move the control you want to learn

I think he meant SHIFT & HOTCUE button.... which will put your X1 in midi mode and the hotcue button will turn green..!

Rainerh is the man when it comes to midi mapping...!

Ya i can try. i read this post and thought that it was a really good idea. saves yourself a button if you ask me. so i tried it and it worked great.

first im wondering if you have been able to map any buttons successfully?
also, your using TP2 and the X1 right?

if you can take a pic of the settings u got on that button mapping it would help. if not i will write back in a couple of hours (gotta work)

make sure the button is set to fader/knob. and make sure you have nothing else except wet dry signal mapped to that knob.

i will be back later to help more.
    ---
Sorry you will want the dry wet amount mapped to that knob as well as the on/off for the effect but you will want to remove the on off effect from the old button it was mapped to.

ok mitch, this is what i have done so far

add generic midi...in port x1 and outport x1
    is this correct
    then
put in midi mode bypressing shift and hotcue
    then
add in fx single ....effect on
turn wet and dry on top left control of x1
    nothing happens

is it because i already have something assingned to that...
is that the way to do it so far

    cheers bud
    ---
ps device target is focus and assingment is effect unit one
    ---
i am using two x1 controllers with the settings that came with x1 in advanced mode for all four effects on four channels, well 1 and 2 for A and B and 3 and 4 for decks C and D...are u using the same?

Sounds like all of your settings are right. and your right. It is because the on/off is still mapped to the button next to the knob as well cc 8.
When i map i always make sure that what ever channel/button i want to map to, only has the things it needs mapped to it.
the other thing i look for- Is the effect or control changed already being used on another button/channel. which is probably what your bug is.
after you add using the learn button use the sort options to check whats on the channel and alphabetically sort to see if that specific effect is being used on other buttons.

pretty soon you can do some cool crap that has no purpose haha check this out.

ill check when i get home, are you using 2 controllers, ive u were u could send ur tsi file over..im usinf the standard settings u get with the 2 controllers..its just that i not sure what ones to delete, still want to have the flexability to press the effect on and off aswell as wet and dry turning on and off, had it on my old setting on a slider and it worked well
