Good question. I was just looking for them myself and realized that they are nowhere to be found on my computer. I didn't realize that they haven't been made yet. So yes Native Instruments, where are they? Or even better what about some DVDs for the programs in Complete 6. You may think we are lazy but really it's really difficult to run the app while trying to read some PDF file at the same time. The "Getting Started" manuals are just that. It's like getting a ride in a car to the middle of the forest and having to find your own way out.

It's amazing how much money we have to spend to be confused and made to feel stupid. I, too have been looking for the tutorials which the manual says are in the HELP menu. That's after wasting a bunch of time trying to find Kontakt 4 after installing it. Kontakt 3 and Kontak Player 2 are where one would expect them to be - in the Application folder. Kontakt 4 is supposed to be in the "Installation Directory" folder which of course doesn't exist. It is really called the "Native Instruments" folder. It's time the nomenclature started making sense. If those of us who use these tools professionally can't figure it out, then NI is in big trouble. Unfortunately, they're in good company with other software manufacturers. Confusion and little respect for the end-users time seem to be the state-of-the-industry.
So, where the hell are the tutorials? It seems I can pay for them at any number of download sites. I already paid NI.

    Manuals... tutorials...

    Hola chicos,
me too I´m searching everywhere for those manuals and tutorials. I just bought me komplete 6 and actually I´m having problems with the installation. By the moment I can only play kontakt 4 as a standalone. Somehow I´m not able my Cubase 5 64 bit to recognize kontakt 4 as a plug in..... Where are the tutorials, where are the manuals that can help getting forwards?
    gracias

At one point I found a tutorial series for Kontakt 4 online that had to be bought, but I lost the link. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

    Kontakt video tutorials

Apparently no one from NI monitors these comments. I find that fact even more insulting. We have to search FAQ, blogs, etc. and there is absolutely no response from NI. Many of the professionals I have talked to, both in the U.S. and Canada, have expressed frustration. They are deciding to buy less and use what they have, currently, more.

It seems you can't pay enough to have the confusion cleared up. I've just received email ads for new NI products and my reaction is "Are you kidding?"

I run the ASCAP Television and Film Scoring Workshop every year and I will be reticent to advocate new software to the 12 participant we choose from an international field of 300 applicants every year.

Let's have fewer "bugs" and clear, understandable manuals which, when they say videos are available on the "help" menu, actually mean it.

I completely agree with you. I dj for a living and used to use NI's Traktor but switched to Scratch Live b/c of the vastly superior Serato customer service and support.

Unfortunately Kontakt is kind of the industry standard sampler at the moment so it's hard to switch to another platform.

I bought the Ben Rosser Conservatorium of Audio Kontakt 4 tutorial. I hate to say it but it was almost worthless. I learned very little.

Figured I'd save you guys some money..

There used to be an old K2 tutorial DVD sold by NI that was pretty useful.

A lot of it is prob still relevant for K4, though it would be missing the new and updated features from K3 and K4.

NI should really pay attention to their customers and create an updated version this, because I'm sure that there are many people that would be interested. Even if they sold it as a seperate purchase.

Yep, me too. Just last night spent time searching for the video tutorials that are mentioned in the Kontakt 4 manual.

I had just bought Kontakt 4 and have purchased MANY NI products over the last week or so, INCLUDING MORE PURCHASED LAST NIGHT.

NI, SO WHERE ARE THE TUTORIALS?

I opened Ticket #2010022610003934 with NI about the K4 tutorials and their reply is as follows:

    Hello Rick Tucker,

We are actually no longer producing tutorial DVDs. All of our tutorial content
can be found in the media section of our website.

    Regards,

    Native Instruments Support Team

The tutorials for traktor and absynth were very good! I wish that native instruments would continue these. Such a shame there aren't any for the new versions. One for massive would have been good too! I like the new traktor and absynth though. One for kontakt would be VERY useful!
