I've just posted new video in my TMoRW series on YT. These are short Reaktor videos showcasing some of the thousands ensembles in the User Library [IMG]. Hope to make many more. Really interested in your comments about it - anything you would change in the next videos? Should I make videos about the paid ones too or only the free ones?

The last one is SOURCE the drum voice with many synthesis methods and two x/y pad controlled FX engines.

I liked it - not much more to add, I'll definitely be checking out the other videos in the series.

I watched the rest of them at lunchtime, all very nice.

Going back to your original question, I personally would stick to User Library/free ensembles. There are so many videos of the paid ensembles, I think it's really nice to highlight hidden gems that don't get the publicity they deserve.

I have similar thoughts about paid vs free dilemma :). Even if I do videos about paid ones (have two which I want to do) I think I'll treat them as bonus videos.

Next video in the series - this time very distinctive sounding additive FM synth called Atmorph:

Reminds me of OPL2 sounds and I think it will be a great contrast for more "analog" sounding synths...

I'm a video editor in my day job - so I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro with some templates modified to my needs. I work with all mainstream video editing software, but Premiere works great for this kind of graphic-heavy videos with the Essential Graphics and the dynamic link with After Effects.

I record Reaktor with Quick Time - at the beginning I tried to do it in one take, but now I'm doing multiple takes. Once I made a template with first 3 videos it goes really quick to put it all together.

One more thing - I used to save live output from Reaper and than synchronise that with video, but now I'm recording the audio simultaneously with video in QuickTime via Soundflower and it works flawlessly.

I'm very sorry for being so quiet for over 4 months - day-job, family and all kinds of Armageddons made it impossible to work on videos. But fear not - they are coming. Next one is about a bundle of ensembles :)

And for now - a demo track I did for "Renaissance" soundset by The Unfinished for U-he's RePro-1 synth:

A new year and a new video! This time it's a whole set of ensembles - the Biohazard Series by OreKore, that are a superb and extremely twisted noise machines. Do you want to score a movie about a reactor meltdown, nightmares lurking in the deeps of the oceans or a waking up Cthulhu? These are for you! [IMG]

I'm thinking about doing a more in-depth video about one of them - Kursk probably, but please let me know, which one would you like to get TMORW treatment :).
