what does this rhythm machine need?
does the library need this rhythm machine?
All comments welcome, good and bad. Thanks and good day to you.

edit- besides documentation and cleanup (though I wouldnt mind GUI suggestions)

I would definitely say - yes, you should upload it. I didn't get too much deep inside this drum machine, but I like what I see so far. The GUI is friendly, but I prefer light skin (the second one you have in your list of backgrounds). Also I didn't figure out properly how to use both percussions, but it's easy to guess with kick. Probably a short manual will be helpful. I might do some snaps if you want (if you explain me how to work with percussions in short). Very good work anyway!

thanks for the comments. the two perc channels are fm operators from the building blocks macro folder. perc one has a grain delay at its output for more sound variations. the controls are the default controls for said fm operators with a noise osc, and filter for each. perc one has a pro 52 LP filter, perc two has a multi filter. each perc channel has an independent sequencer. channel one is roux by Mr. Dines. Perc two is a modded version of the step sequencer with faders from the building blocks folder. I replaced the faders with Freshmaker faders by Mr. Dines. I also replaced the clock with the one from monoliner as it has more options. the volume and muting is where you would get into which "voices" are heard. these channels feed into (if desired) the autoperc section from newskool. i made it like this (sometimes it can be used another way obviously) you would use perc one and two to make say a hihat and snare. the autoperc would generate a third perc sound and you kick is, well from CList/Martin Brinkman. Volume and muting section is where you would determine what is heard and which of the two perc channels feeds mr. autoperc. the bottom is just some fX/mod sources. snaps would be great i made like twenty but stopped.(kinda weak anyway) also its nice to see you so active in the community, and i look forward to your work as i have a feeling you are much more than a lego builder like myself. Here is a revision, getting close I think.

Okay, how would I save my snapshots? I've made 12 presets, but I prefer more deepy-tech style, so if you like I can make some more (5th preset will sounds nice wish some luxury pad and 9th I just love it). I attached it as ensemble. Also I though about some functions - delay might be a good addition (I've seen there Grain Cloud delay, but it doesn't work for me, I wonder why) and probably some additional effects. Anyway, thanks for your explanation. The more I dig into it the more I like it.

you would open the snapshot panel via the button. (its in a row with the play and stop button, its a camera looking icon) from here you can create your own bank of snapshots. under the bank drop down menu is an option, save bank, use this. thanks for the look again sir. also the section at the bottom has a bandpass filter system, the loop macro from scenario, and there is a bit reduction/sample-rate for the two perc channels. what problems are you having with the delay? there is a mix knob, check this. also didnt care for the autoperc module? or i suppose it could be not in line with your musical style. anyway thanks sir. also check out that reduktor macro it might help you out with your lofi post. also when this ends up in the UL it would be an honor if it included some of your snaps. i would love to properly fill it, even with some other peoples. Get the full 127 snaps for once you know. Also i have been looking for someone to work with on anything reaktor related as my bandmates laptop has been dead for months, so thanks again.

Here is my first bank of 20 snaps. Hope you'll like it (I added 8 banks to previous ones and updated some of old banks). By delay I meant not delay of sample (that's how that delay works right?), but delay as effect itself (like delay made for synths, or sync delay in Reaktor's library). I'm not sure if I got it right anyway. Still, I haven't discovered all functions of your ensemble.. I'm sure anyone else is interested in making snaps!

Hey, Joshua. Glad you liked them! Delay effect works for me now and I'll make few more snapshots. But there is one little bug in your ensemble. I haven't noticed it before. You sequencer starts with position 1 and it should start from position 0, because when I have kick on first 16th note and when I stop playing and start it again, it starts with 2nd position. I don't hear sample or kick that is on first note. That's because Event Table start reading from 0, not from 1. You should subtract 1 in all RX of your tables I guess. That will work then. Didn't you notice it? I'll give one more look at autoperc section! Thx.

you have me thinking now. the macro is roux by peter dines. i must have changed it somewhere along the lines or something. i have to do some searching through old stuff now. thank you this was the desired feedback. thank you so much again for the bank, i really appreciate it. thanks for the debugging also. when i upload it ill be sure to give you a proper nod.

    edit
added plugin song pos fix by matthew toddman instead of the default song pos module in the sequencer and viola.

Guys, that's sort of my fault for leaving the host / standalone button on the outside of the sequencer macro, which I did so there wouldn't be redundant switches (one per sequencer macro). So you probably copied and pasted the macro without the button and send terminal that goes with it.

I don't even remember exactly what that switch fixes in a host! There was weird behavior in some hosts - either the first beat was missing, or it was a few milliseconds late - either way the fix for standalone was incompatible with running as a plugin... as you've noticed, various people have uploaded different clock fixes to the library.

Here's my fix for Joshua's instrument - which by the way is nice! CPU use is very reasonable. I prefer the sound with more SR reduction and less bitcrushing though.

to be honest Peter, when I am playing around I will mess with lofi stuff a little, but when it comes to recording it rarely gets involved. For me this is more of a way to vary sound for others if that makes any sense. So your comments are appreciated very much. Did you notice the bit and samplerate controls in between perc one and two? Also thank you Mr. Dines for all the work you do, obviously I really enjoy your macros. The seq from perc channel two has proven to be alot of fun, especially when i hooked it up to a drone type synth. Mr. Dines could you point me in the direction of where to learn more about modding the length of the sequencer? If not its cool. I seem to remember getting to a point where I cant get the table to act correctly as I have changed a parameter here and there. Sorry but I can do a little here and a little there, but some things like tables, I dont know so well honestly. Its just always walking that fine line between creating instruments and creating music for me as I need a lot of mathematics education. Thanks guys. Mr. Dines on a personal note, thank you very much for freshmaker, frankenloop, and roux, they have let me make music and some interesting instruments quickly and with a drastic reduction in the learning curve. I understand synthesis more than seq so you have been a huge help, seriously thank you very much.

    HI Joshua,

    Fantastic noise maker!:D :D :D

I added some additional directions to the sequencer. The additional directions are not so much random they jump around in a somewhat predictable pattern. Hope you like them.

sorry for the delayed reply, horuschild. (long weekend+too much work=no time for what i enjoy) i really appreciate this alot, as i am not so great with that sort of thing. making some more snaps, and making my bandmate contribute some. oh and playing around with to see what i need to fix. oh yeah peter about the sort of your fault, not even remotely accurate, 100% mine, but thanks for the attempt ;) thanks for the comments and time everybody.
