Ucg102

Hi. I just got the UCG102 but I'm having some problems with it. I can only get sound if I use the headphones input. I don't get sound through the computer speakers.Not only that, if I have a voice conversation on msn or something, they don't ear the guitar. Is this normal? Can anyone please help me? Thanks.

 

You'll need to contact Behringer tech support. I have no experience with the unit.

same problem - any ideas?

I wrote to the Behringer support and they told me to contact Microsoft! I answered that I see the problem at the UCG102 and the driver and not at the OS. The problem ist that the UCG102 is recognized as an USB device and not as an audio device in the device manager. So you can't select the UCG102 as the standard sound device under windows.
I'll wait for the next contact of the support.
If they can help I will tell you here.

Hey Joe. I already solved my problem. I can see you already know that UCG is in fact a soundboard and the reason why the sound doesn't go through the computers speakers is because the main soundboard is not UCG102 and we can't make it the main board. I didn't know this. Anyway, what I did was to buy a stereo cable 1/4" both ways, the same as the headphones and connect it to Line In through a 1/4" 1/8" adaptador. I think it loses a bit of sound quality, but it's ok. And if you want perfect sound for recording or something, you can always use the headphones from time to time. By the way, the cable isn't expensive plus the adaptador should be about 10$. I hope I helped you. Bye.
