As soon as I started building the simple synth that is discussed in chapter 6.2 of the .pdf, I noticed that the components that were built looked totally bizarre. all the lettering is jumbled on top of itself and it's completely unreadable. anyone have any ideas on this?

Right click on the instrument/ensemble's upper tab & select 'unlock panel' If your instrument's name isn't too long, you can click on the little hex symbol in the upper left corner to unlock & lock as well.

Once you do that, select each macro, knob or GUI element & rearrange to taste.

Open up the panel for the ensemble. Does it look good there?

If not, there are two possibilities:
    1. You switched panel views. Switch back to the B view.
    2. You copied a nasty B view to your A view. You're ****ed.

Most likely if you click the little B in the one that is messed up all will be well.

Thanks Sicklecell! That did the trick. strange that the modules just stack themselves on top of each other like that. wonder if it's because I am using a laptop and have a relatively small screen space to work with...

nope, reaktor's just not smart enough yet to automatically place the macro's/modules gui for you, regardless of the computer its used on
