    Hello guys,

I know the M1 compatibility is not perfect yet, but I also know that most people have no trouble to use Komplete Kontrol with this new chip. However, I am unable to use any transport controls (play, record, joystick, metronome, ...) using Logic Pro X with my Komplete Kontrol S61. Indeed, it is not recognised as a control surface. I never had the initial popup asking me to grant permission to my keyboard, as it is supposed to do. Thus, it doesn't appear in the control surface menu of Logic. Tried many things, and didn't find any solutions.

It is all the more unsettling as Ableton Live is working perfectly. The transport controls are perfectly recognised in this software.

Is this a known problem (Komplete Kontrol not even appearing in the control surface of Logic)? Are there any potential solutions?

    I would appreciate your help.

Specs: Macbook Air M1, Logic Pro 10.6.1, Komplete Kontrol 2.5.1

The transport control NOT working is a very common complaint by those using Logic Pro X and Mac combination - even without throwing the M1 chip into the mix.

I had this issue. To fix it, try forcing Logic Pro to run in Rosetta mode. Right click on Logic Pro in Applications, Get Info, then tick the box that says Open In Rosetta. I did that and then everything works nicely. All the transport controls, it's recognised as a Control Surface. In fact I'm not seeing any issues running on an M1 chip (it's so fast!).

This worked for me as well, but do know that this can cause problems with some libraries :(. For instance, Spitfire Audio stuff will generally NOT work in Logic under Rosetta mode :(

    EDITED TO ADD:
I learned that Spitfire has a workaround for this: run their Spitfire Audio software in Rosetta mode and then reinstall all libraries. A pain, but it works! :)

it's been over a year since the M1s came out, it would be nice if native got up to speed!

(I just have my my MacBook Pro M1max and my keyboard M32 seemed to work when i installed it yesterday but today it doesn't. I have installed logic and checked settings several Times but my keyboard do not my keyboard does not control anything at all)

    Hey there,
Just to be sure, if you want to use all of the M32 features you need to run Logic in Rosetta mode every time.
Second thing to check is functionality in Komplete Kontrol in standalone.
Finally in your mac's system preferences, under Security & Privacy, give Full Disk Access to Logic and Komplete Kontrol:

If you still struggle after that, get in touch here: http://bit.ly/NIsupport_KKontrol

    Hey MyStudioOne,
The vast majority of complaints were because of a nasty bug that took a very (very very) long time to fix. This was fixed with version 2.6.5.

Thank you so much for your answer Jeremy

Yes Logic is running in Rosetta (I checked that and it now opens by default in..)

But Native access was not allow in "sécurité et confidentialité" I forgot that

So i will try and I will tell you

(for standalone I will check to)

m32 working in standalone but not in logic

(the same as earlier, I can choose my instruments with the buttons on the keyboard and even “Play” “stop” etc. in Logic but I can't play any sound with keyboard whether with Logic or native instruments)

Ok after all that I had to go to "control surface / preferences" and put some order in it.

    It seems to work
