For me, the update is failing in Native Access. The error message is that the application installation could not be found. However the path under preferences (Applications/Native Instruments) is correct, works for all other updates and the application itself currently at that location (4.1.5) works perfectly well. One thing I have noticed, when the update fails, it resets the status to "Demo". If I click on that, it reauthorises and change to "Full Version".

I've read a few threads on failing updates and come across a relatively recent page by NI, but none of the measures seem to work. Any other ideas?

Hi i am having the same problem i think it is ccleaner is getting rid of old installer files. And when i try to update native access tries to uninstall the previous version and fails every time. I have many updates that won't install they all fail on the same thing uninstallation of the previous version.

Guys Try This (If you're on the Windows):
    1. Download the NI reg tool from: https://support.native-instruments....ng-uninstall-reinstall-NI-products-on-Windows
    2. Close Native Access
    3. Run downloaded NI reg tool, as administrator (right click on it ..)
    4. Find "battery", select it, then click on the "remove selected product" button
    5. Run Native Access
    6. Battery ver. 4.1.6 should be in "not installed"
    7. Click on "install"
    Good luck!

Thanks Sotte Vocce but (predictably) I'm on OSX.

The thing I find curious about this is that I've recently changed my Mac Pro for a newer model and done a completely fresh install of Komplete 11. Everything's been working and updating perfectly until this one comes along.

On the Native Access Installed Products Page Battery 4 is listed along with everything else. If I click on that I can check the installation path. If I go (via Finder) to that location, Battery 4 is there and if I open it up, it works perfectly. But... If I go back to Native Access and click on Available Updates, the 4.1.6 update is listed and in the far right column "Update" is showing in Orange. If I mouseover that it says Native Access can't find the application for Battery 4. Which, given that it could on the installed Products page is odd. To say the least.

Hello, I have the same problem, the battery was working perfectly until I installed the update, I´m on OSX by the way.

Now when I open the ableton live to use it, It doesn´t recognize it. But if I open it from its location it works. Heeeelp!!!

From what I remember from my own past experience, this happens if you do the install and deselect the StandAlone app install. I've always done that just cause "why waste hard drive space?" if I only ever will be using the VST's. But then updating is a pain. I have to first reinstall the program from disc then update. Now I just leave the standalone apps installed.

    Hi all,

I'm having the same problem but also on updating Komplete Kontrol version 1.8.3 and Reaktor 6 Player 6.2.0. Must be a bug in the Native Access program, so the only solution would be uninstall and re-install the latest version, right?
    Thanks

I haven't tried it with other NI programs but the approach above (post #7) worked for me with Battery 4 and if I come across the problem again I'll definitely try the same route again. As a protective measure. I deleted the items as the NI link suggested but left them in the trash bin (i.e. didn't empty the trash) just in case I needed to restore them.

Thanks sonikgroove but no - that's something else. I had no problem loading Battery into my DAW.

    This happened with me:
When I got the failed "application not found" error, I noticed that the installation path in Native Access was wrong.
I also noticed the .iso file was in my Download folder (I'm on a Mac)
I took the .iso file and moved it into the folder where my Battery app was located.
I ran it, and everything was fine.
Even Native Access updated to the correct path.
    YMMV

Had to log in to say thank you for saving me the time [and maybe others] from reinstalling Battery and FM8.
