Hey everybody. This is probably a noobish question, but I seem to be having a terrible time controlling vectory with my keystation pro 88. I'm able to change the sample selection with midi notes, and The external indicators show that my controllers are sending info. I've read the instructions, but the instrument is totally unresponsive to anything but midi note info. Is this an instance of one of the "hidden buttons" that they are talking about in some of the other instruments?

I've tested my controller with Reason 3.0 and show no problem with the controller.

What are you trying to control? Most of Vectory's GUI is made up of tables, and hence can't be remotely controlled. Most of the number boxes can be- the only one that can't is PosQEQF.

As to the guest vs user thing; there's a thread in this forum on it. It's been a bug in the forum for a long time.

In the instrument guide, it states that you are able to assign midi cc numbers for external continuous controllers to a number of parameters. The panel is accessable by pressing ctrl+2 in windows. It's closed with ctrl+1. I've accessed the panel and assigned the numbers, but get no results with it. There doesn't seem to be a mac shortcut for it though, at least there isn't one in the book.... (I've never used a mac...)

Hey Eric, I've just noticed this (it's at the bottom of every forum page):

    "Powered by: vBulletin Version 3.0.7
    Copyright ©2000 - 2006, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd."

If you go to the vBulletin website (http://www.vbulletin.com/) you find that the latest version of this forum software is 3.5.2.

I'll make no further comment on this.

    Kind regards.

the ctrl key shortcut is just shortcuts for the panelsets, just open the panelset window. its the icon to the far left top by the other browser proerties, etc icons. the second panelset is for midi remote (or maybe the third, there are 3, the main one, the sample loader and the CC assignments). they exist because each part is a seperate instrument. you have to use this CC assignment instrument because, as ew said, Vectory uses alot of table and mouse-area controls that dont allow MIDI CC control. i think its pretty cool that this was even added, they could have made it a mouse-only affair.

Problem is, I've been to that panel, set the midi cc's, but I'm unable to control vectory remotely. The intrument indicators indicate that vectory is getting the data, it's not reponding, though. I am able to control the sample selector with midi notes, I just can't control anything else. Is their any way to go into structure and fix this? I'd sure like to be able to control more than just the sample selector...

working fine here. what you do is set the controller number up top (slot A - D), then pick that slot at the bottom.

Well, at least I'm able to control it with midi notes, as far as the sample selector goes. It's odd that Reason 3.0 seems to be controllable with no problem. All of my knobs, faders and buttons are working fine. They seem to work with Reaktor midi learn as well, all except midi cc 01, the first in my bank of faders. This has me scratching my head.....

CC01 is usually the mod wheel, maybe that is causing some sort of problem?

i was thinking, when Vectory is open, did you re-check the audio/midi setup page? my akai mpd used to spontaneously set itself to "off" when turning on Reaktor sometimes. wierd.

Yes, there haven't been any probs with controlling synths through midi learn, except for the fact that my first fader doesn't seem to work. It's midi cc number is 01, so I figure this could have to do with a range issue. It does work with Reason, however, so I know that it's sending data. Otherwise, I'm able to control through midi learn with no problem. Also, vectory's ext input light is showing that it's receiving data. Just no response in the instrument....

So sorry for all these posts. Apparently the static demon payed my controller a visit. A reset solved the problem, and Vectory is now happily dancing to my controls....

I read everything I could find on this forum, but I still did not figure how to get to the midi assignement panel of vectory. I found the sample loader... Is that it? Or is there a distinct midi panel? Jf

if you hit ctrl + 2, the lower half is the midi part.

you can look at the individual instruments by opening the panelsets window. its in the instrument toolbar. the bottom part opens individual windows, the top saves combinations of them, which can be accesed via mouse or ctrl + number keys.

    Thanks again sputnik

seeems reaktor (standalone) does not like my 'ctrl' key. Nothing happen when I enter 'ctrl' and any number at the same time.

Oddly enough, menu shortcuts involving the ctrl key are understood.

When I access the panelset window, I get to choose my individual instruments, plus the sample loader, but no midi assignation page.

Is the sample loader (I mean the MIDI assignable controls below) the midi assignation page everybody talks about?

    thanks for your attention
