Uninstall Beta 5.5

I am having trouble with Reaktor, crashing projects. How do I uninstall the Beta?

The same way you'd normally uninstall Reaktor. With Windows, use add/remove programs. On a Mac, I'd do a manual uninstall:

When you reinstall Reaktor, you have to start from your original installer and update to 5.1.5. Also, be aware that anything you've saved in 5.5 will not open in 5.1.5.

Why no backward compatibly ?

There is backwards compatibility; ensembles made with a previous version open in 5.5.

What you're talking about is forward compatibility; that's rare in any software app. There's usually new features which make it impossible.

I wouldn`t switch back even if the beta would be the last version


(but in my case it`s running very stable)

 

it would be great if you would report this on bugtracker.
