    Hi there, relative newbie here,

Since I haven't heard back from tech support in days I thought I might ask for some help here.

I'd like to know how to completely uninstall the free Reaktor Player. Couldn't find it mentioned anywhere.

I used Add/Remove and also deleted the .dll's in the vst folder, but I'm not sure it was completely deleted.

I now have Komplete8 installed and to make a long story short (after a full day of installations!), I wanted all the Komplete8 vst stuff in the same folder, the Reaktor Player was in a different vst folder, so I deleted it before installing Komplete8 which includes the full version of Reaktor.

When I load Reaktor into Kore2 using Acidpro6, then The Finger, I get a message, "This file was saved with a newer version of Reaktor! Please update your software!". In Acidpro6 it's Reaktor version 5.6.2 even after installing Komplete8 with all the NI updates through the Service Center, and re-downloading and re-installing 5.7.0 from my account on the NI web site.

I also use Acidpro7 and Reaktor works fine with the 5.7.0 update.

I prefer using Acid6, the Reaktor Player worked fine before installing Komplete8. Is it possible I didn't uninstall the player correctly and if so, how do I completely remove it, or is the updated full version of Reaktor no longer compatible with Acid6?

(I do have a full PC backup from before installing Komplete8 by the way :)

Komplete 8 comes with a full version of Reaktor make sure you run that - and all of the Komplete 8 plugins - in Standalone Mode before you try to load them in a DAW.

Kore 2 is a different problem in that its engine uses Reaktor 5.6.2 and since you updated Reaktor, you will have problems using Reaktor 5.7 inside Kore2. please go to the Kore Forum for more information about that.

    i can't help you regarding Acid6

You have two choices with Kore:

    1) Copy the 5.7 Reaktor plugins to Kore's IE folder, or
    2) Use the bypass IE option in Kore's options menu.

I've done it both ways; recently I've been using the bypass IE option.

Thanks a lot for the advice guys, I guess I'll have to ditch Acid6 and use version 7 where the newer version of Reaktor works fine inside and outside of Kore2, cheers :)
