This is also in the Reaktor session forum, but more people seem to read this and there's no Komplete forum and it's sort of related...

I'm certain this is going to be one of those stupid questions, but I cant seem to figure out how to uninstall Reaktor session.

I installed Komplete without uninstalling session and had problems associated with session's authorisation on both mac and PC - for the moment it seems to have been fixed by inserting the CD, but I thought I'd just uninstall session now I don't need it and I can't for the life of me find an unistaller - it's not even in the add/remove programs in windoze(but reaktor 4 is, along with one or to other NI apps, but not the whole bundle individually - just NI Komplete - so why R4 etc individually as well???)

I also want to remove it on OS X jaguar - I'm fairly out of the loop on macs but usually you can just trash the folder right? But in the readme for session it says 'please do not move the folder, do a proper uninstall' but I can't seem to figure out how!!

Here's how to do it the manual way:
    1. Trash the Reaktor Sessions folder
    2. Trash the Reaktor plugins in Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/
    3. Trash the Reaktor.component file in Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/
    4. Trash the WIBUKEY folder in /Applications (if you installed it there, and if you installed it to begin with)
    5. If you're being anal, you can remove your preferences files from ~/Library/Preferences/, where ~ is your user folder. There may be two files to remove here, 'com.native-instruments.Reaktor.plist', and 'Reaktor 4.plist'. If you only see one of them, that's fine too.
    6. If you're being super anal, you can remove the install log from Library/Receipts/

To be honest I'm not sure if the Sessions installer has an install option. If not, removing the above files will leave your system 100% Reaktor free. The only things important to get though are just the application folder and the VST plugins. You'd be safe leaving the rest most likely.
