You'd think at this point Arturia would get smart and offer some sort of discount to Pro-53 users. I'd be all over that.

This is unbelievable!!! Am I right in thinking the initial announcement was a release in September 2006?

First, the "NI-versary offers" fiasco. Then, it turns out Abs 4 is beautiful but totally unstable. Batt 3 is a nightmare for a whole load of folk and now this Pro-53 rubbish.

Resources are clearly being thrown at Massive, while the less profitable update-hungry customers are being left high and dry.

I'm gonna send an e-mail to NI Sales.

I did this and clearly other NI-versary-fooled punters did and we "won". I know many users have had frustrating experiences with NI Sales and Support, but an e-mail doesn't hurt.

The inevitable migration to other manufacturers must be an issue at NI HQ.

I urge other Pro-53 users to complain. Free update or voucher, perhaps.

I can see how waiting for these updates is frustrating... but I don't see this situation as the same as some of the others...

As far as some of the other problems go, I think that the fact that the media was starting to sniff out some problems at NI caused NI to want to do whatever it needed to shut everyone up(from complaining) so they dumped Massive on us as a big buy out...it worked, and was a good idea.

This situation is different. The website says preliminary release schedule, subject to change. They're obviously working on these updates, and probably our two options are to either see a webpage like this, and deal with the delays, or complain until NI takes the page down, and everyone sits in the dark not knowing what, if ANYTHING is happening for 6 months.

At least this way you know it's being worked on, it's just getting delayed.

    Ni, You Suck.

Delivery dates, promised which simply come and go. NI not interested. But they are interested in us buying new stuff.

Simply put I can't trust NI to deliver the basics. Why should I buy anything else like Massive its simply not reliable.

Take a look at many of the smaller vendors, sound wise they are approaching if not exceeding what NI is doing but they believe in supporting their users, it makes sense to buy and register beacuse they see that as a way to further products , their interested in improving the product.

NI are not, they just interested in making another buck. I need a vendor I can trust, thats not NI.

    Dear NI,

Offering Massive to the public as an olive branch was a wise and commendable gesture. Whether it was done to make things right for the Service Center/server fiasco, or for lateness of updates, it is appreciated... That being said, when it comes to good deeds, the attention span of the public and media is short... people: producers, composers, sound designers, engineers, assistant engineers, studio techs, studio managers, etc. are counting on you. It is important that you fulfill your obligations of dedicating your resources to the aggressive debugging of existing titles, and successful completion of updates to the Universal Binary platform for all titles you’ve claimed are due.

This delay is having a profound impact on many people in our industry, as I'm sure you are aware. It is unfortunate because the amount of raw talent that NI has shown it possesses is astounding, but the public can't reward you on your intelligence and creativity alone: hard work, organization, dedication and integrity must also be a part of the equation.

I’m hoping, as I’m sure others are too, that this is not a sign of the peak and subsequent downward trajectory that is all too common in this business. I look forward to a reason for restored confidence in NI. Until then, I will regrettably have to look upon you with a certain amount of suspicion - a truly unfortunate reality that is/was entirely avoidable. Good luck.

    Regards,

    JEH

It looks like it's been released.

It's just a UB release, there are no new features!!!!! So no download for PC users.
