First gig using control CDs at the weekend

    the setup was

    2 x cdj 1000 mk3s
    Formula Sound Funktion One Mixer
    Macbook Pro I5
Traktor Scratch Pro with latest updates
    Audio 8 with latest drivers

The control cds were playing and cueing, but not correctly.

It was saying Unknown Medium - Calibration Failed

thank god I had my X1 with me and I could just use that, saved the blushes

But I am very sceptical about this for future? Vinyl works fine, and yes the timcoded cd / line was selected as the control medium

    any ideas?
    any ideas?

Sometimes that happens, especially if you use music CDs alongside TC. All you need to do is click rst on the scope panel and it is back to normal.

You must switch the Audio 8 DJ to cd/line to use CD timecode (alternatively you can do it in the software itself). Pretty sure that was the problem.
Ooh, and turn of the CD players "master tempo"

do a search...this issue has come up in the past.

for me, a channel on the audio8 went bad and ni sent me a new one.

try swapping cables, using different channels, etc.

hopefully not the audio 8 only got it in december and only used it in a club twice :(

could it be the control cds? Im using the original ones I got with TSP, and have not downloaded the updated timecode files?

Try using different inputs on the audio 8 and see if you get the same problem...
