    Hi folks,

I'm looking to completely format my Macbook and reinstall OS X. I'm assuming i'll need to unregister my Traktor product key so i can reinstall it on the new OS install. How does one go about this?

I'll need to do the same with my Maschine install but i'm sure i can do both at once.

    Cheers

no need to unregister your keys, ive formatted and clean installed my computer several times and always used my same keys without a problem.

i dont think NI requires you to unregister products in this case, there really is no need to, but i may be wrong.

    mod?

If you really want to be pedantic you can uninstall the apps and then run service centre to register that you have uninstalled. However this is not really necessary since you are installing on the same hardware. You can quite happily just reformat and reinstall with no issues.

Not to sound dunce, but If I replace the internal hd and my chipset is it still the same machine and no need to re/unregister. For future referance.

Pretty much. Traktor (most SW registrations that are HW specific) builds a machine ID which is a hash of motherboard/chipset ID/serial and processor ID/serial. As long as these 2 stay the same you should be fine.
