unregistering hardward/software - timescale?

    Hi.
    I sold my Maschine Mk1 on Thursday.
    The new owner is looking to take advantage of the awesome crossgrade offer currently running on Komplete.
    I submitted a support ticket to unregister the software from my NI account on Thursday.
    Just wondered if anyone knows how long it usually takes please?

    Can't help with your situation, but why this cannot be done automatically through the service center software is beyond me...

    Hi

    Wondering if anyone has clarified what the ETA is for NI to un-register the software.
    I am selling an S4 and Tractor scratch pro kit, I have provided all the serial numbers (x3), and am awaiting a response from NI.

    I need this de-activating as I already have a buyer lined up, and will be instantly purchasing a Z2 and Maschine mk2, but cannot do so until NI action my request,

    if it is an emergency, you need to phone Registration Support.

    btw, the weekend is coming up. if you don't get an answer today you probably won't get an answer before Monday.

    No emergency, just expecting better customer service/assistance.
    I did initially call, and they advised to go through the online route.

    May have to re-consider before I invest more into NI, been with them since the Stanton affiliation days, always had poor customer service from them, but I love their products.

    Ahhh well. thanks for your prompt response anyway.

    Support from NI is fine and for me always has been.
    First product was Dynamo and that was a long time ago.
    For all people interested in selling anything you should unregister it prior to selling it otherwise you are really selling it and retaining ownership.
    I have always found it easier to unregister and then sell the item after it has cleared, didn't matter if it is NI, Ableton or Propellerhead.
    When you sell then try to unregister it you are being unfair to the buyer by delaying their ability to test their purchase.

    if my memory serves me correct, when i unregistered my z2 it took about 6 or 7 days... i could be off + or - a day or two but i was patient and that's all you can really be for certain things.

    in case anyone is interested i got my response today. took 9 days to unregister. seems like a long time imo but oh well.

    Wow, that amazing.
    When I sold my S2 and X1 they took less than 2 days but that was more than a year ago.
    I would think an increase from about 2 days to 9 days would be a pretty dramatic change, then again I am waiting to hear back as to why my evoucher doesn't work.o_O
