Upcoming 2.9.0: Still missing features

A new update MUST integrate full F1 functionality to the Remix Decks.
We need to be able to edit remix cells directly from S8 - not via keyboard/mouse.
Why it hasn't done from the very beginning is beyond me, but it simply must happen!

Based on the track record of 2.7 and 2. 8 releases. 2.9 is going to filled with more problems especially for the stems functions. Based on the releases notes many of the issues & bugs on 2.8 were not addressed. Is this is true it clearly shows NI only want to support new hardware and not longtime customers.

Be very careful when before using 2.9 live ...test,test,test. Free Serato for the first person to crash 2.9.

its not hard to add a slide bar that can change the monitor level by -/+ 10 db or something, so you can match volumes on external mixers, and add a options for monitor boost on/off

cue mix is the most pathetic thing to ever be on a mixer

 

whats the point of adding something if you wont be able to use it because of stability issues..... Whether its hard or not, tbh only the developers and programmers know, but we need stability first, then convience and extra items can be implemented imo.

 

traktor rarely crashes

cue mix when centered, all tracks should be roughly the same level, with monitor/cue boost being 2 or 3 db louder on the chennel monitor/cue is enabled

on most mixers, you have to have cue mix half way into cue only so you can hear the channel with monitor/cue enabled, which makes your next mix being either too loud or too quiet

cue only on cue mix, is so you can EQ, not be able to hear the track with cue/monitor on

the mixer options need a slide bar, so you can mix your next mix with cue mix centered, and use the channels master gain todo the level

 

"rarely" is still a huge problem in a live performance.

 

Rarely for who? this forum is riddled with traktor users that cant get thru a gig without multiple issues... thats a problem! more so than the need for a cue mix edit on the mixer section.

there is no point in traktor partially working, if its actually rubbish to mix on when it works, tweaking hte monitor level in the mixer options does`nt have to be all scientific, just so you can roughly match the volume minus the monitor boost your own ear will cater for

 

You're all over the place, this is not a windows vs mac debate lol. Both windows and mac users im sure encounter problems.

 

I agree with stability first! I used 2.8.0 for about 4 seven hour gigs with cd time code with no problems. After the fifth time I started getting CPU spikes after and hour of play, I had the same set up (Audio 6), same cd player, cables etc...sound became distorted. On a second different gig with a different set up (using one turntable) with in 30 min got the same cpu load spike again and I kept getting "ground line" error messages on traktor. I checked the ground wire and it was well connected. After maybe 3-4 error messages regarding the ground cable on the time code Traktor froze. Lucky the music kept playing and I had my back up ready and mixed it in. I am now back to 2.6.8 with no issues (yet) but I am extremely disappointed with Traktor. I am considering Virtual DJ 8 or worst go back to Torq 2.0. Serato has it's own stability issues and I HATE the whole file managing system (CRATES) which is the main reason why I never used it in the past and now. I move files around and add new ones weekly and it a pain to be dragging folders into the crate every single time! But I like Traktor I just wish they would concentrate more on stability rather than selling hardware and poor software.

 

Ive had similar instances, and eventually get a low time code quality check source error, where latency is very lagged or time code control is lost all together. 2.9 did not help..... at least not from my first session with it . Keep in mind i get these error on 2.6.8 as well.

 

Hi everybody, I don't now if this is the correct thread. In this case please forgive me.

I have the same problem form the 2.8 release, 2.7.3 and previous version work correctly.

From Kontrol S8 is not possible change BPM for remix deck. Problem only via hardware, via software no problem found.

Please restore the functionality, it's impossible work without change the bpm for the remix deck!

I'm the only user with this problem or also other user have the same defect?
