    Awesom!

I really was pissed off when the maschine crashed after groupchanging while playing. but now! Everythings faster! NO crashes till now! and the upcoming features will ROCK! do you mean with "classic" drummachines the old samples are included? or how can we dream about?

Nice, I was a bit on the fence about Mashine. With current & in progress updates I may feel less anxiety to part with my cash.

    would be dope

they are talking about modeling the sampling circuitry from those machines, which is what gave them the sounds.

Just having a group of samples from the factory disk would be nothing special, you can get them all over the net and honestly they suck lol.

It's when people sampled their own sounds into these machines that it gave them a desirable sound...so we'd be able to put that "vintage" 12bit sound on the samples we run through maschine.

this is huge, because a lot of urban/techno/electro producers are constantly trying to find ways to get this sound in software. using distortion, bit reduction, etc is all a step in the right direction but actually having a modeled sampler mode that has the characteristics of these machines will be huge...many people will get maschine just for that feature lol.

I just want to see how they implement it, if it will be "input only" or can we "apply it" like an effect, say, like bit reduction or something. Can't wait to see/test it.

thanks saint -joe for clarifying , so then i could de-digitalize my samples and give them that dusty mid-90- premo-gang starr appeal ?
that'll be so cool, now u got me waiting as well.......im not really satisfied to the fullest to do that with the bit-crusher,though its taking a bit of the clinical sound away, it doesn't sound that ...hmm.. "right" to me ....

plus , yeah some sidechaining to give my live 8 some "dusty " appeal . lol

Yeah man I agree, that's why i think it will be huge, bit crusher still isn't "right" lol. Let's see how they do it man!

a decent saturation effect would be good, something to really warm up and thicken the sound. the scream4 module in reason 4 is extremely good for this... i wish we had something similar. some 12bit crunch is good to have, but i think some warmth wouldn't go amiss either...

Thanks Thomas and all at NI... these planned features for V1.2 sound fantastic and would take Maschine into a class of it's own (and I'm already loving it).

My main thumbs up are in the areas of performance macros and midi drag and drop. I'm hoping the latter will work both ways (ie: being able to drag midi into Maschine as well as out of it).

    Congrats! :)

Hey there i love the UPdate! Thank you! My Requests fore the next Update are:

    - Sidechainnig
    - Asigning the PitchBend/Modwheel of the MIDI-Keyboard to the Maschine Knobs.

Actually the second one would be my first priority because at the time I use Ableton to do the Sidechaining......

Maybe it's only me, but full MIDI record of scene change performance - would that be included in "Host Automation"?

I just want to jam around and record the exact stuff I am doing on the hardware (Mute/Solo etc.).

I know I could record a audio track but indeed that makes manual correction and editing difficult.

    O....M.....G.........

    midi cc and pitchbend support:thankyouthankyouthankyou!
this inside Kore 2 will take my Kore performances to the next level.

so what about Battery import(and timestretch)?
is that also planned for this update?

and a "save as monolith"kind of thing(like Kontakt" has),so we never have to worry about losing any samples etc.

thanks Thomas and all at N.I.!

We need to be able to lock the auto write button down. maybe shift + autowrite. this is a MUST HAVE. We cant properly tweak sequences with one hand. thanks.

Destructive audio editing sounds great ! I hope this means more options in the wave edit & slice pages ! Slice "preview" audition seems essential... also how about re-pitching loops to fit a certain BPM ? this would be much easier to program than complex time-stretch algorithms. I'm pretty sure my old MPC 2000 could do this right out of the box!

Also, please implement an Auto-Save feature ! Maschine crashed last night after a 40mn jam, and i lost EVERYTHING ! :(

Other than that I am really looking forward to what has already been announced for 1.2 ! ;)

One thing which is mising and would be really useful is the ability to load mp3 and ogg files ...
We often have to download (legally) soul/funk/others rippeds albums on internet ('cause we wouldn't find theses rare joints anywhere else) and having to open the file in another software to convert it in .WAV to be importable in maschine is very annoying and time consuming.
Implementing this kind of functionnality (as ableton live do for example) would really improve the workflow ...

    Just my two cents.
[edit] and also having the ability to drag'n drop file over the sound slot to import them :) [/edit]
