It's not suddenly vitally important that something else be fixed first. It always was, people are outraged that something that is a bit trivial (a lot of great soft synths don't have animated envelopes) is being put in before something which is really basic and frustrating not to have, such as a proper patch management system.

Fair enough. I'm just of the opinion that if it's coming, it's coming, and if things are still being improved in the mean time, I'm not in the mood to complain.

Is this true? I've been working on a review and currently trying to finish the list of cons, not at my computer atm.

Yes. There are 1/4s, 1/8ths, 1/16ths, 1/32nds, triplets, 16th quintuplets, septuplets and nonuplets, but no dotted notes in the palette. Since I use dotted notes a lot and I suspect most musicians do, this is a major pain.

You can get dotteds for any of those notes by using the Overlay grid feature. Enable it and set Overlay Divisions to 3. Note that you can also shift and skew those divisions with the two draggable controls to the left of Overlay Divisions. It's pretty neat if you want some more humanized rhythms.

That's a workaround at best. I want to create without having to think too much. I've presented a much simpler and more efficient design to NI via the Massive X support forum, so that you can do every single musical division that you want in every time signature in the same space as before just by using a couple of text boxes similar to the delay and LFO time controls. How often am I likely to want to use 16th note nonuplets anyway? It's just bad design when you could have a similar thing to Reaper in that you can input whatever tuplet you like in whatever time division.

Mick @ NI any indication about when the Oscillator Manual will be released?
maybe it's part of the Massive X 1.1 update?

I want to buy MassiveX for my nephew (I will be getting it as part of Komplete 12) but I can't figure out how to do this. If I buy it on my account the license will be on my account not his. Help?

No - you can buy it online and just give him the serial, the license is not automatically tied to your account, so he can use the serial and add it to his account

Good to know, but I'd like him to be able to download it directly himself. I think that involves him having an account, so I was thinking I'd create one for him and buy it on that account. I guess I could buy it on either, but he still needs one to download it.
It's very confusing; I do wish they had more chat hours or still had phone support.

You give him the serial, he will download it through Native Access himself after he adds that serial to his account.

Cleanest would be to just tell him to open an account if he already doesn't have one.

I hope that will do it. It's showing up on my account now, not as registered or license to transfer though.
Native Access confused me, since I never had to add a serial number before, but I did find the box.
I do wish I could've just put it in his account to start with, or downloaded it from the store and sent him a link, but at least I know that this is the current info, coming from a forum mod.
So thanks for your prompt reply. :)

I assume it's showing up because you own Komplete 12. You can't "disassemble" your Komplete 12 bundle and only transfer Massive X to your nephew. You're gonna need either transfer entire Komplete 12 to his account or buy Massive X (still to be used on his account)

Do you own MX as part of K12 and want to buy a separate MX for your Nephew?
