Update 1.6 - Thank you NI!

+1 - Wish I saw this before I posted my message. Couldn't agree more!

 

Like improvements in 1.6 wasn't enough already

 

And I read 6 ensembles, I'm sure!

Not that it really matters. I probably just remembered wrongly.

They are two different products. Komplete 7 Elements and Komplete Elements. The latter is the one Maschine users are getting for free and is a cut-down version of the original Elements, which was 12GB but has now been replaced with this 3GB version. You can probably still get the 12GB version from some places until they run out and then it will just be this new, bite-size version.

Still, a nice 3GB addition for free. In particular, the VSL strings and the Abbey Road 60s kit. Though I'd guess that kit might be the same one that's included in the Maschine library anyway. I'm sure there are a few other nice odds and ends in the 3GB though.

Komplete Elements looks pretty exciting for me as well as Maschine is my only softsynth other than what's in Logic (and I don't use them) ...

 

I think you'll get a fair bit out of Komplete Elements if you explore it a bit. It does seem to me like they have really trimmed off the fat from the previous Elements and just given us that for free! Like I said above, the VSL strings in particular but a few of the other instruments too. Good stuff.

 

i had major problems with the beta....like my maschine stopped working completely when updating to the beta... so a little worried about doing this...

has anyone hand any problems with this? or are the bugs fixed?

 

I got the email today. Thanks so much for listening to us, NI. I can't believe how incredible you guys have backed your products (especially Maschine). You also give ups FREE stuff (Komplete Elements) on top of free stuff (your awesome updates)! I wil never sell my Maschine! (until Maschine version 2, ha!)

 

Native Instruments is world class when it comes to consumer relations. Not only do they give you a free update they give you free sounds with the update! WTF who does that? Oh yeah NI biaaaaaaaaaaaaaatch! Good lookin out. I know we do some complaining in the beginning but in the end NI pulls it off for it's customers once again. Much props to the entire Maschine staff.

Very cool! Got Maschine not too long ago and was thinking I should go print out the user manual at Office Max, but decided to wait on the way in this morning. Got home and what's in my inbox, but the update. I'll download that tomorrow and get started all over again.

The included bonus should be great, too - thanks, NI!

 

Thanks NI! This is awesome. Hey, can someone please tell me if the 3GB sample download has to be done as one big file - or is it split into more friendly chunks? I sometimes get drop outs if the file is much more than a GB and have to start again from scratch. If it's just one big file can anyone recommend a decent browser that lets you resume the download if it drops out?

 

Really, REALLY appreciate this NI. Next level business in every sense of the word!

 

+1 on the printed manual. I have a graphics shop below my office. $18 for a professional print and bound manual - just may knock that out tomorrow.

as you can see, i have (hopefully) deleted any reference to jpeg's homophobic post.

some users had issues with jpeg's post and i have deleted those posts as well as the posts that supoorted him, so we can get back to the topic of Thread.

if the thread goes 'off topic' again, i will have to close it.
