I installed Komplete 7 on my Macbook Pro and installed the library content to a new external D2 FW800 drive (purchased expressly for samples and audio). This is a recommended method of installation and frees the system drive to do what it needs to do. My install was flawless and everything functioned as it should.

I have just updated Kontakt to version 4.2.3, but the installer has no option for specifying the factory content install location. Instead it says it will install the cvontent to my system drive. Is there any way to fix this without corrupting my Kontakt 4 installation? Having read up on this elsewhere, it seems that several users in my situation have received errors on the installation. Manual manipulation of the files can result in errors.

I have stopped the installation of the factory content, pending a resolution to this.

NI makes specific allowance for this type of installation, so responses like "install it all to your system drive" won't really be helpful.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
