ewistrand - yes, you can now choose various recording time combinations:

    20 minutes, mono, no undo
    10 minutes, stereo, no undo
    10 minutes, mono, with undo
    5 minutes, stereo, with undo

    etc....

    Best,

    Jake

Thanks for the info so far Jake.

Any info on the compatibility with the current version of Cubase - SX 2.01?

I hope you'll be testing with that host!

    Thanks again!

Purusha - we will definitely test it in cubase SX 2.01. However, the plugin is not yet finished so I don't have concrete information at this time.

Thanks so much to everyone for your patience!

    Best,

    Jake

    hello jake,

when i try to use absynth2 as plugin on cubase 5 vst,
i still can't open any windows (patch, effect, and so on)
even though i updated to ver 2.0.1.

how can i solve this problem?
    (i'm using m-audio delta66 with windows2000 sp3)

las - try to run the standalone once, then quit it. It checks and repairs any damaged registry entries, which you might have.

    thank you , jake.
i did as you're told, but plugin doesn't work correctly...

it seems AbsynthEdit.exe doesn't run automatically.
after i kick it up directly, the plugin manages to work.
but it's so unstable and too inconvenient to use.
(all sub-windows open in the other window.)

would you please give me advise a bit more?

    Yeah.....Still waiting too :(

    - The latest NI Schedule (updated 19-november) still claims a November release. One week to go, then?
On the other hand, given that the schedule "..is subject to change", it is once again looking doubtful that we will see the RTAS feature before the New Year.

I think I'm just dumb; but where is the update timeline? I've looked and looked and can't find it...

Looking very forward to 2.04, hoping it fixes things...

Yes, we've just entered the "release candidate" stage - release should come very very soon!

    Thanks for your patience....

Much to my chagrin, the plug-in compatibility calendar was recently updated to show Windows RTAS support for Absynth 2 scheduled for 01/2004.

So, I suppose "very very soon" doesn't mean in December?

Windows RTAS support most likely won't make it in september. It will come after Mac RTAS (since the Windows RTAS SDK requires a completed Mac plugin). The 2.04 update (exclusive of RTAS and DP support) will definitely make it in December!

    WHOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Whats THIS???

SO, when will the Windows XP RTAS come???

Just when I think the bad news has reached it's peak, you lay that on us. My god, is Windows / ProTools now an immensely popular combination? I can't believe we're getting the run around again..

Not only is it immensely popular, but I am also using it myself. I'd like to see Absynth XP RTAS as much as anyone.... In the meantime I'm using standalone and the internal tape recorder, then importing the loops into protools. That way I have no CPU load : ) But of course it's not the ideal situation, I can't wait for Absynth RTAS.

    Best,

    Jake

    *grumble* *grumble*

Well, at least I know not to get my hopes up.

Hopefully the updates for Battery, Intakt, Spektral Delay, and Pro-53 will keep me distracted until Absynth is ready. Unless, of course, the same applies to those updates as well.
