You all seem to undersatnd what I was trying to say about this feature, but it hasn't quite been implemented yet. That is why I said that after the update is released, then another small "bug-fix" will follow that makes the ability to nudge the tempo with out making it audible. Basically, what it all comes down to is... we no longer have "pitch" adjustment, you will now be adjusting tempo... and the "key" or "pitch" will stay at the original posistion, unless you wish to adjust it.

Hobbes, in my "dumb ***" thread I asked about the cue button/slip mat function - if it could work with either keyboard or controller.

    It seems not to.

Will this work in the update?

    ummm...

but will those of use who like "old" style function of the pitch adjustment still be able to keep it? i'm not sure i even want all the tracks in my mix to be in the same key...

But basically the minimum/recommended requirements will be raised. If Hobbes is saying we should have at least a 1Ghz processor, I feel sorry for anyone else who has purchased Traktor after seeing the current requirements.

If things are choppy now on my 900Mhz G3 ( try tapping tempo with one of these. Pretty sluggish), hmmm. I don't know.

Glad to hear that the demanding features like master tempo/new pitch features will be optional, so if they're too heavy on my machine I don't have to use them... but I hope to do so.

Apparently Panther (the Mac OS X update coming later in the month) provides significantly better performance. Maybe this will help w/Traktor. Let's hope that there won't be any significant Panther compatibility issues, too.

I'm cool with the timeframe (only because they gave us enticing screen shots).

    Looks great!

I can't wait! Thanks Hobbes for keeping us in the loop and letting us know what was pending.

    Very coolio.

Well, I guess they are working on a few more little additions for the update... and we will be testing them next week. Sorry that I told ya'll that that it would be out yet this month, but that was the impression that NI gave me. The good news is, that NI is trying its hardest to make this update bug free, especially since its going to be an update that is paid for. I will still keep you up to date on what we are doing.

    Holy cow!!

I want that, & I want it now. :) :thumb:

The only thing I'm slightly concerned about is the system requirements that have been quoted by people on this board recently for this update. It's going to be very dissappointing if my new 900 Mhz iBook that I brought less than 2 months ago isn't up to the job. :(
