Updating older expansions (i.e. drop squad) to Maschine 2 not working.

    Greetings,

After downloading updates for older expansions via the service center, I go to install it. But notice that the actual file updates are just moved into a folder labelled 'tmp'. However, these new file updates are not actually applied to the directory where the expansions are contained.

Are we supposed to copy these new updated files manually by moving them from the "tmp" directory into where it should be? It's slightly troublesome because the new files a mix of kit files and some WAV files, so it can't just be a simple drag and replace procedure.

    Thanks for any feedback!

No, run the installer by double clicking it and there should be a dialog that allows you to choose the location. If this does not work, run the original installer first and set the location there.

I am getting the same issue. I think when you click INSTALL from the service centre it just chucks them into that TMP folder. I am going to try and remove the tmp files and then use the actual dmg to install them.

Hey Karp, I figured it out. You CAN'T run the install from within Service Center - it doesn't install it properly for whatever reason. You have to download the installer, and double click that file directly to install it. (I think I had to re-download the complete installer again directly from my user account on the NI website). Then to be safe, run Maschine (standalone) and go to your preferences to refresh your libraries to ensure your installations are properly recognized within Maschine.

Yep, you're right! I had to reinstall komplete so that everything would revert back to their prior versions and then do the updates again via the service center. Took a while but I'm glad now that it's all done.
