Wanting to upgrade from Komplete 12 to 13 Ultimate, but noticed it needs 800GB hard disk space once installed. My c drive where Komplete 12 is installed at the moment only has 150GB spare and Komplete 12 takes up about 300GB. I won't be able to create enough space on my c drive even if I move some stuff.
How easy is it to install parts of Komplete 13 on a different hard drive - I have an external drive with lots of space, but worried about installation complications, directories getting lost etc.
Has anyone done this? Do you get prompted to specify different drives/directories on install for the various new instruments and effects?
    Thanks
    Nick

On native access you can set a different path for libaries, so it should be easy to do it. I guess you have already libaries installed so I would then move all libaries first to the external drive. Make a folder, move libaries into that folder, if you then open native access you have the option to relocate them. After re location and changing path for installation you can install the other expansions.

I'm having the same issue with Komplete 13. My Native Access installer is set to install the NI Applications on the main system hard drive while the NI content is installed on an external drive. The NI websige specifically states, "We highly recommend to keep the default location for this (the Applications) section. The default location is: Mac: Macintosh HD > Applications > Native Instruments..." Can I ignore that and set the Native Access prefs to install the NI Applications on an external drive? Will it work and update correctly if I do? And if so, should I use Native Access to uninstall from the system drive then reinstall them on the external? I suppose I shouldn't just drag them from one drive to the other.

Have you had any success? I am in a similar boat:
Even though I changed application location in preferences in NA to E:/ , NA still tries to install applications to the default C:/ where it is unable to as there is not enough disk space.
As you can see from the screenshot, by all appearances, application location was changed successfully to E:/. (E drive is an internal 1 TB SSD with over 900 GB free space.)
Any tips you have run across would be greatly welcomed :) I lost track of how many hours I have spent searching forums to try to figure out how to solve this whole 800GB upgrade instillation hurdle .

I only had to change the location of my content folder, and that worked Ok. I didn't have to change the location for Application. Have you tried just changing Content to your e drive and moving libraries currently on the c drive to the e drive?
