    Hi,
I tried contacting customer support, but didn't get a response so going to try here.
I am looking to get some information regarding upgrading to traktor scratch pro from traktor pro.
I am curious if I only upgrade the software and get the time code vinyl will everything work as before, yet now with the benefit of vinyl.
    I currently have a SL3 soundcard (sacrilege i know!)
My intention is to use a midi controller as my digital mixer with turntables. as per the image[IMG]

Traktor Scratch Pro will not work with an SL1 (or any Serato/Rane sound card) in scratch mode. You must have a Native Instruments sound card such as the Audio 4, 6, 8 or 10 (not Audio 2) or a Traktor Certified sound card.

    Hi Karlos,

Thank you for replying. I just want to expand on this a little.
The primary reason I have switched from Serato to Traktor is its ability to function as a complete digital dj package.
By scrolling the web I am yet to get a definitive answer regarding my desires from Traktor. The best I found was djTechTools setup variations.

Can I do away with the traditional mixer and also make use of the subtlety/sensitivity of vinyl decks combined with the rich features of the software.
Serato doesn't permit this. Serato allows you to control fx and what not via midi. But not the eq's and levels, the DVS is dependant on the analog mixer. I am looking for something to separate out this functionality. Thus when I am using traktor I want to be able to control the tempo via the turntables and everything else via my midi controller.

Should I switch back to traditional-vinyl use of a traditional-mixer is fine.

Thus what I am looking for is:

Digital djing uses a software mixer.
Analog djing uses an analog mixer.
Both have access to the turntables.

    cheers.

Not entirely since I already have a custom midi controller which I mapped myself and I'm set on using it. I'm looking for a way to incorporate it into a vinyl setup.

NI, will traktor scratch allow me to do what I'm after ?
