    Hello,

I've installed Kontakt Player 5 and it is been activated on service center.
There is also an "UPGRADE" button near Kontakt Player 5. When I press it it wants from me to enter a serial number. May I purchase serial number from Native Instruments online to uprade my Kontakt Player 5 to Kontakt 5? I don't need and want the libraries but only the Kontakt 5 itself.

Note: There are no any resellers of NI products in my country and it is not possible to bring it with a shiptment because of regulatories here. Only I have to go europe, buy it and bring it with me. So that I need to purchase it online.

    Thanks,
    cnk

The full Kontakt version is not a download product unfortunately.

And I cannot buy it! We are in 2012. Nearly all VST developers let customers to buy their products (which require Kontakt Full!) online but we cannot buy Kontakt 5 (world's best sampler!) online?

I really don't need the included library. I just want to buy Kontakt 5 Full to be able to use my other 3rd party libraries that I've purchased online and downloaded.

Yes I also think that serial number will come with the box but I don't want the box :) I just need the serial number and the kontakt 5 itself.

Thanks for answers guys. I don't understand the point here and I've asked this to NI support. I hope they can sell only the serial number via online.

One of the great things about the full version of Kontakt is the library, which is 43GB in size. Even compressed, that would be far more than most people are able to download.

It's about 25 GB in K5. And most people that have broadband today have flat rate for downloads, so it's not a problem to download even that much. If you don't have flat rate, you're not living in 21st century :p

That'll be me in the UK, then, £1.20 per GB (once over an agreed monthly threshold) during the day/evening. Other ISPs differ.
    :)

So nobody offers flat rate in the UK? Impossible :/

Some UK ISPs do offer unlimited bandwidth, but, for the ones I've seen, the support is poor or the speeds drop.

Come live to Croatia, then. Or even better, Sweden. They have really high speed connections there.

Well at least that should be optional!

One would buy it from a dealer because of the internet connection restrictions,
One would buy it online with library and can download it,
One would buy it online without library. And that's me!

I don't want and need the library and I am ready to pay the same price for only the kontakt! So I just need a serial number here. Because I'll use Kontakt for 3rd parties' software that require full version of Kontakt. That's so simple and NI should have that option for its customers.

Its fallen on deaf ears so far ... if enough people keep requesting serial numbers only, maybe it will happen :)
