Upgrading Laptop and want to transfer all data

good vibes to you all

hope you guys can give me some hints,

im going to get a new laptop a dell XPS 15Z, im actually on a Studio 15 dell,

whats the best way to reinstall everything and transfer data?
i know i can transfer all the information with a couple of files..., help?

i thhink the biggest problem i have is the reinstalation, i have the TRAKTOR 1 installation and i should have the download file for TRAKTOR 2 somewhere..... :S

should I install the traktor 1 CD instalation disk, and then te traktor 2 install file,

can i transfer all my music files to the other laptop and still keep my traktor software syncronized with my harddrive?

 

I have this question too.
I assume that I reinstall from CD for the T Duo base, then redownload T Pro upgrade from the site, these being my two registered products? I don't recall getting a product key for my download/upgrade of T Pro.

i installed the traktor 1 with the original instaltion DVD
i actually have the reinstalation for traktor 2

should i register trkator 1 first, then install traktor 2?
or install them at the same time and register at the same time?

the only thing i cant find is the serial number to regiter traktor 2...

i actually found the serial number aswell on one of my emails!

the BIG question is:
after i have installed my traktor 2

....to transfer all my saved playlists, cue points, grids, etc and have my traktor 2 exactly as in my other laptop?

it actually went very well, i think i got it all figured out.
first i installed traktor 1, then registered
installed traktor 2 with my download file and then registered it on the new laptop aswell.

after this i actually copied the whole folder that has all the traktor information like recordings, saved data, adn ofcourse it will have the collection.nml file that alreay contains the info , cue, grids etc from your preivous collection on your previous computer

after this i actually susbtituted the whole traktor folder on my new laptop, from the whole folder i actually copied from my old laptop

after i copied it i opened myu traktor 2 on my new laptop and "imported files from another location" , browsed and need to find the file thats called collection, then you actullay will have to look for the folder that states collection and that has all the files that you sabed as collection from previous days on your older laptop.

i actually did not import the " most recent " collecton, since i wanted all the data from 2 weeks before, just double clikc on the one you want and it will start loading that collection on your new installed traktor.

when you analyze all the tracks you need to let traktor know were all these tracks are located, remember you need to make a backup of your files and install them on the new laptops hard driver

go to your settings and on the ROOT directory you mut choose the folder were all these files are included
